Well it's all a matter of opinion I guess. I can never see how people think TP's good but thats because subjectively, I didn't really dig it as much as other people do.
Though I'll agree on WW being superior in every way.

I like phantom hour glass way better. The ship customization is sweet.

I like the Wind Waker better but I'm not extremely fond of either of them.

Re: Is there anyone that prefers PH over TWW here?

This is what I got out of this thread. "wind waker is betur in every way possible cuz i sed so!!!" Yeah. No evidence. At all.

Innovation?

Sure, Wind Waker was innovative in that way, but Phantom Hourglass was more. I mean, really. Look at it. Innovative control scheme, on-line multiplayer, coustomization, mapping... PH was a lot more innovative then you give credit for.

Graphics?

I agree. The Graphics in WW were better. But then again, the DS's graphics kinda suck in comparison to the GameCube anyway, no? Thats just how it is. Consol Graphics > Handheld Graphics. Put WW on the DS, and the graphics would be just as bad.

Dungeons?

Yeah, I kinda agree. Kind of. WW didn't have enough dungeon puzzles for my taste.

Gameplay?

???
Entirely a matter of opinion. I personally think the Touch Screen contols were brilliant.

Puzzles?

Puzzles in PH were inovative and fun, but short and easy. Puzzles in Wind Waker were long and hard, but a little overused and kinda boring after a while.

Bosses?

Are you crazy? You must be crazy. WW's were boring. PH is were it's at.

Controls?

O RLY? I still think that the Touch Screen controls are brilliant.

Story?

Yeah. But PH had Linebeck and Oshus, so it's not all bad.

Music?

I sort of agree. PH was lacking in quantity, but what was there was good.

Replay value?

I've beaten WW twice. I've beaten PH four times. WW has been out a hell of a lot longer then PH. Not to mention I really want to play it once I get a new charger.

Re: Is there anyone that prefers PH over TWW here?

I thought the bosses in PH were more interesting, though I breezed through most dungeons so quickly I hardly remember them.

You didn't even mention sailing for some reason. Since a lot of people complained sailing was boring in TWW, I hope they found it more interesting in PH. Monsters pop up everywhere, and you have infinite ammo in PH.

I kind of like sailing better in TWW because there were more interesting things to look at. It was more relaxing. I do like the ship in PH better, though.

I think TWW is better in most ways, but PH does have a few good things. At first, I didn't think PH had any noteworthy merits, but I realise there are a few.

I think that Wind Waker was better than Phantom Hourglass, because it had better graphics and it had better gameplay than Phantom Houglass, although I did like some of the features that were in Phantom Hourglass.

Then don't bother owning a handheld.

Re: Is there anyone that prefers PH over TWW here?

I'm not sure how TWW can be compared to PH. They are both very seperate games.
But anyway, here are my thoughts that back-up PH:

Graphics: You can not say that TWW graphics are better than PH's. Unless,
of course, you forgot that PH is a handheld!

Music: I know everyone will disagree with me whaen I say this, but I liked PH's music better. I'm not sure why, but TWW's seemed to lack what PH had. PH's sailing music was better, and Linebeck's Theme rocked!

Bosses: TWW's bosses were boring. PH had some exelent and interesting bosses, but were quite easy to defeat.

Sailing: The S.S. Linebeck is a steam boat! Woot! Anyway, TWW's sailing was very boring, and a bit to relaxing. PH had enemies popping up everywhere, which you can have heaps of fun blasting at! And pirate battles are epic! It is also a lot easier to control the ship in PH too.

Re: Is there anyone that prefers PH over TWW here?

I'd have to say TWW was better overall, taking into account that its a GC game compared to a handheld.

Graphics: Hard to decide, due to the GC vs DS graphics, so a tie

Gameplay: I thought TWW was great for gameplay, with there being more islands to explore and more sidequests, with a FULL heartpiece sidequest aspect. I thought PH was a bit lacking in the heart piece finding department. So TWW.

Music: Personal opinion, but I thought TWW's music was better, with the dungeon music being really fitting, and the sailing music was relaxing too. So TWW.

Dungeons: The dungeons were a lot better in TWW, but there were a few more actual puzzles in PH I must admit. Still, the dungeons in TWW were really extensive (I thought) and they all seemed to make sense. So TWW.

Bosses: PH had a good use of the touch screen in boss fights, and the items and strategies that have to be used were better. I liked the fitting-in of the boss fights better in TWW, but PH wins that one.

Sailing: Although the new sailing control in PH was ok, I actually preferred the old version of sailing, due to the scenery and serenity of it. The boat customisation was kind of cool, but I just didnt like the basic design of the boat much in the first place. Personal opinion, really. TWW.

So, TWW wins hands down for me. Its a longer game, too, which helped. In PH, when I got to the end, I was like "Thats it?", but in TWW it was a fitting ending and some fitting plot elements.

I prefer the sailing in TWW, the better graphics and music are really nice, plus there's actually outposts and submarines to stop by. It's just a lot more relaxing IMO.

And I guess MAYBE PH's bosses are better, but they're far too easy. If they had been harder they would probably be better then the (also easy) TWW ones.

TWW's graphics are better. It doesn't matter that PH is a handheld, they're still better. (and also why the TWW sequel should have been on Wii...) PH's graphics are really ugly (espescially the people, there is no consistent art style for the humans, they look nothing like the ones from TWW), Link is hideous in the game.

And music is the most bizarre one. I can't see how anyone can prefer PH music to TWW's.

Re: Is there anyone that prefers PH over TWW here?

You don't seem to get it do you? PH is a on the DS, thus, making it a handheld game. Handheld consoles do not the potental to render eye popping graphics like a gamecube.
TWW is on the Gamecube, so it can easily render the graphics.
It's not PH's fault it's graphics aren't as good as TWW's!

As for my oppinion on the music, I actually love TWW's. But for some bizzare reason, I like PH's better. Don't ask me why! It's just the way I am.

Re: Is there anyone that prefers PH over TWW here?

Innovation?

PH had touch screen controls whick worked great, great new puzzles and a battle mode. I think they tie here.

Graphics?

But remember that PH is on DS that doesn't have super awesome graphics. PH has best graphics on DS and WW does not have best graphics on GC.

Dungeons?

5 lousy, boring dungeons compared to 7 creative, fun dungeons.

Gameplay?

This can be debated on

Puzzles?

"Push the maps together"

Bosses?

WW had Molgera. PH had Cryak, Eox, Gleeok and Dongorongo

Controls?

Touch screen controls that work better than any other DS game compared to the same controls as many other GC games.

Story?

Sure PH didn't have a great story, but WW's was no prize either.

Music?

Yes, WW wins this.

Replay value?

Both have great replay value.
