Links awakening DX?

Ive recently obtained a copy of links awakening dx. so could somone tell me what the difference is? I cant find my gba so I cant see for myself but I think its the color version though.

Well, I think one of the differences are Colour, but I think there are more...

There are a few other extras other than just the addition of color.

Most notably, there's a whole new dungeon, with mainly color-based puzzles. Also, the Camera Shop was added, where you could get pictures of certain events within the game.

Yup. It's in color, you can have photo's taken of yourself, and the Color Dungeon is added. The Color Dungeon ir completely optional, but beating it allows you to obtain either double defence or double attack. Also, color based puzzles. They are awsome.

To extend on what DK just said...

• The whole game is in Color
• There's a new dungeon that's only accessable if you're playing on a Gameboy Color. I don't know if it's accessable if you're playing on a GBA though (you'll just have to test that out).
• Like every dungeon, there are new enemies, a new mini-boss, boss, and a new item.
• The item is a new tunic. After beating the boss, you rescue a fairy that can give you a red tunic (which will boost your power) or a blue tunic (which will boost your defences). You can always change your outfit whenever you want, all you have to do is re-enter the dungeon and talk to the fairy again.
• There's a new mini-game that involves a rat that owns a camera shop. Throughout the game there will be a few cutscenes where he'll take a snapshot of the action taken place. Back in the day Nintendo invented the Gameboy Printer accessory* and then you're able to print out the pictures of Link.

*The Gameboy Printer was more popular with the Gameboy Camera. I guess it wasn't that popular.

I might add that the colours are actually quite nice, too.



They obviously took their time colouring it in. I was surprised at how vibrant the background looked, considering it was originally a black and white title.

its actually the same colour scheme as OoX, so they were built on the same engine, which appears to be a coloured version of LA for the gameboy (classic)

Also, for OoX, the colors were brightened to make it much more vibrant. I can't find a screenshot at the moment, but if you compare OoX to LADX, LADX's colors are much more toned-down. Also, something I just now noticed, the item/health bar is at the top in OoX (rather than on the bottom in LA). Just thought I'd throw that in there. XD

Color and a special dungeon that allows you either the red tunic (double power) or the blue tunic (double defense).

The colors seem more vibrant in this than in the Oracle games...WTF?

You can also gain infinite rupees in the Color Dungeon, from a secret room.
