Zauz-endorf?

EDIT: added a rito image for comparison purposes.

did anyone else think zauz in PH looked like ganondorf?
obviously he isn't in any way, cos he helps you
but do you think he's like an easter egg in PH
because there's no ganondorf in the game?

EDIT: found one

similarities:
- eyebrows
- 'noticable' nose
- ear in hair
- his hair in general
- cheeks bones, a little
- uncommon eye colour, orange

I never thought he looked like Ganondorf. I do think he looks like a Rito without the wings.

I speculate that he's a Rito who may have found himself in the Ocean King's domain when he was a young child, and never got the scale from Valoo. So he never got his wings, which could be why he looks Rito-ish, but doesn't have wings.

Yeah i noticed that as well. He certainly has a slight, similar look to Ganondorf.
It could just be a coincidence. In my opinion i dont really think its an easter egg.
Ganondorf is too much of an important character in the series for them to be making look alikes on purpose of him.
He looks more like a rito though.

i notice the similarities but i highly dount theirs any meaning to it. what DID strike me as odd with him is that he always seemed to know more than he should. by the sound of it he's REALLY close to the Ocean King. i think he may be some sort of deity or spirit or something. how else can a mere mortal know how to make the Phantom Sword so effortlessly?

Indeed, and it's not like they do it on purpose (although that has been done many times before, they won't do it with the main antagonist).

Zauz probably know so much because he may be from the Ancient Cobble Kingdom, or descent from them. Also, compare his tattoo with the one the new postman on Dragon Roost Island has.

It's the eyebrows. My first impulse when I was him was "Ganondorf!", but the more I looked, the more differences I see.

He could have some Gerudo blood in him, which would explain the thick eyebrows and red hair. There are Gerudos in PH (Jolene + Joanne) so it's apparent that they didn't just die out.

The tattoo's aren't exactly alike, but the placements are.

They aren't Gerudos,they just play dress up

Their characteristics look remarkably like Gerudos, and even if they are just playing dress up, that doesn't mean that they aren't a member of that race.

Errrr... Jolene and Joanne aren't Gerudos.

Many people believe that Zaus has a resemblance to Ganon, but that is all. He is not related to him in any way, he just looks like him.There are over 1000 characters in Zelda, it was just a coincidense that look a like.

I'm a bit surprised many people think Zauz looks like Ganondorf. It just never occured to me. I wonder how many others think he looks like a Rito, and if it outnumbers the people who think he looks like Ganondorf.

I can see how he might look like Ganondorf (what with his red hair and thick eyebrows), but he has distinctly Rito-like qualities (also his skin is too light. Ganondorf always has a really dark tone to him... being Gerudo and all). His (large-ish) nose is even a different color than the rest of his skin, suggesting a Rito beak. (he needs wings T_T)

Nice find, but I don't think it was intentional. When I first looked at him, it wasn't an instant recognition that he looked like a Rito. For me, it was one of those 5-second later "...Ooooohhhh! I get it." type of things. : )

I thought he looked like Ganondorf, personally. I never saw the similarities to Ritos until people here pointed that out.

Perhaps he might just have connections with Ganondorf since he knows an awful lot about the history of Hyrule and how to make legendary blades.

But yeah, he does look like a Rito without the wings. But I'm sure that it's just coincidence.

Huh. I thought he looked like a Rito the first time I saw him. Then I thought he was half-Rito or something, like maybe the son of a Rito and a Hylian, because his nose is different from the rest of his face, but not quite a beak.

I remember when you first talk to him he says somehting like "Our ancestors forged swords and fought in epic battles." That doesn't really fit Ritos, or their ancestors the Zora.

He did look like a Rito at first appearance, but I can see why people think he looks like Ganondorf. Also, how are Jolene and Joanne Gerudos? No olive colored skin... No red-orange hair... No pointy nose... No Gerudo lifestyle... There is nothing that suggests there is.
