TRAPPED LIKE A RAT!!!
I, for one have an array of little strategies I use to gain myself the advantage durring WIFI battles. Some of wich I learned from other people over the months of contiuous gameplay. Others, I figured out for myself, and to great satisfaction!!!
Does anybody have any good traps or tricks that they use while playing Phanotm Hourglass online? NOT your best tricks, or most secret secrets, but some quirks you have while you're playing, that cut the odds of a failure!!!

usually i throw my triforce pieces in to a pile and just guard them so no one can get them.

Of course I use good tricks.
One no one ever thinks of is... Lots of people tend to gather their gems in one or a couple of spots. If it gets to the point where they have more gems than me, I let them take as many as possible. Because, once most of the gems are close enough, that item appears which scatters the gems all over the map. Then I just throw my opponents gems in my base, or a safe zone. |

only resort to this if it is last seconds, and you're getting your shiny hiney kicked. at the very end of the game, just take all of your opponents force gems, and put them in safe zones. If you wanna gamble, and have a little more time left, put 'em in your base!
Works best for me.
