Just brought out the ol' Gameboy Color...

It's been a while since I've touched the thing... so I brought it out again. I've started back up on LoZ:Oracle of Seasons/Ages as well, and I'm starting to remember how fun they are.

Has anyone else done something similar (or are doing something similar)? It just makes you realize how fun those oldies can be.

I love playing the older games; I find that it actually makes them more enjoyable simply because they are older and/or you haven't played them in a while.

Re: Just brought out the ol' Gameboy Color...

The Game Boy Color was my first Nintendo system... what memories. I remember getting Pokemon Gold and not knowing how to get out of the house, LOL. It turns out you have to walk out the door. :XD

I did recently play a GBC game. Tarzan, of all things. The intro movie is impressive considering it's nearly full-motion video, but everything from the movie was redrawn it seems. I remember I tried giving it away, but I eventually took it back (I can't clearly remember it).

I know that my friend and another kid (who I can't really consider my friend) played the Oracle games together at a summer day camp (which was called just that). One had Ages and the other had Seasons. I tried watching them, but I could barely understand what the point of the game was.

I no longer have my original, clear, see-through GBC though. It was sold, or traded in, or something at a Toys Я Us store. I used it to get a GBA (also see-through) and then eventually for a GBA SP and then a DS, but I still have the SP (or else I couldn't play my GB or GBC games without using the Game Boy Player).

Re: Just brought out the ol' Gameboy Color...

Well, the main reason for me playing my Gameboy Color again, is because it's been 4 months and I still can't find my DS... so I'm prolly gonna have to save up my money for another one.

I love my Oracle of Seasons cartridge a while back, and was not able to complete Oracle of Ages

But yeah, they were pretty damn fun.

I know, that's why I brought out the Gameboy Color... or else I'd be too busy with the DS!

Re: Just brought out the ol' Gameboy Color...

I played a little of Link's Awakening a couple of months ago. I remember playing that as a little kid and getting stumped by the darn raccoon guy in the woods; I felt so proud of myself when I finally figured out how to get past him! Now when I look back it doesn't seem that hard, but the game is still a majorly fun nostalgia blast.

Re: Just brought out the ol' Gameboy Color...

I haven't actually played this game since like 1998; I haven't seen a copy, nor does anyone I know own one. I'm a little upset that they didn't allow the DS to play GB and GBC games either.

Re: Just brought out the ol' Gameboy Color...

My apt was robbed two days ago and they stole my wii, 6 games, my ds, and 15 ds games, but they left me all my gba and gamecube games, so I still at leat have some old zelda games to get through this awkward transition.
