Zelda Ocarina Of Time ds 2d coming out? Watch this video of it YouTube - Zelda: Ocarina Of Time 2D Trailer - Dampe . The only reason why it might not be happening any more is because the person whos making died RIP. Anyway i was wondering do any of you know if its still in development.

It's only a Game maker game, nothing more, nothing less. Several of these were in the works several years ago, which is how Zelda Fan game central was created by TRM. There will most likely never be an Oot 2D. Threads like these should stop popping up, no offence.

... for retail? No, there never will be, but as a homebrew fan, it's very much possible and probally already exists, likey as a game made using ZC Gamemaker.

Why? Is posting fan games against the forum rules or somthing? I personally am interested to see what crazy fan game people come up with, and, though this is one of the less interesting ones, I think it is very much worth a thread.

This is kinda old. The maker in question got bored and faked his own death to avoid the disappointed people, to whom he'd promised a finished game: There's been scores of ooT 2D projects -- and they all end this way.

It also has all kinds of copyright issues: Nintendo came down on him again and again -- and they would've sued at any completed version.

It's one of many fan-made games that will probably never see completion.

And I'm 99% certain the guy making the game didn't really do. I remember hearing about all that. There were no obituaries, records, or anything.

If I'm wrong, I hope no one thinks I'm a heartless ass. Just misinformed. = / I really don't think I am though.

^All true.

As we speak, there are probably 3/4 other 2D OOT-projects, but they won't be finished in the end for several reasons.

Nintendo would not allow a fan based game to reach their handheld platforms.

It seems as if the question has been answered: it was a fan game that fell through. The topic of an Ocarina of Time remake has been covered in Future Zelda however.
