Theres a huge difference betweeen this swords, only three infact...

First, The MS was crafted by the Gods and the PS was crafted by a Rito

Second, the MS was used to destroy evil and the PS to stop time for a certain moment

And third, the MS has a diamond in the middle and the PS has an hourglass in the middle.

After comparing both pictures i dont think both swords are really that similar. They are a bit alike in shape but the designs on the swords are different.

Yeah I noticed. I don't think those pictures would help, it looks a lot like the master sword in-game. It is more blue than purple though, and it has a hourglass on it.

The Zelda series tends to have swords that bare blue handles that resembled the Master Sword including the Magic Sword, the Gilded Sword, the Phantom Sword, the Picori Blade, and the Seashell Blade (renamed the Master Sword in LADX).

Yah, those are 2 completely different swords. In case you forgot...the Master Sword was in Ganondorf's head at the bottom of the ocean at the end of WW...
The Phantom Sword was just made by a blacksmith in PH

Unless you take into account my theory where the master sword is never in the AT so they make a new one called the FS which is basically the same as the PH with out time stoping power(Zauz alludes to the fact that his people had made the sword from the pure medals before) this may account for them looking similar.
