Is Phantom Hourglass worth my money?

I was just wondering if ph is worth the money. I almost bought it once but I played it as a demo and didn't think id like it but now im having second thoughts and considering buying it. Should I?

It's a great game. If you liked The Wind Waker, you'll like Phantom Hourglass. Much better sailing mechanics, and Linebeck. Linebeck is worth $100.

Maybe not $100, but way worth the the money. It damn near rivalled WW, and is nearly endless in the things you can do.

Yes, you do control rolling, the ship, running, and slashing with the stylus. Also the boomerang path and some other things. I'm sure there are many more things you do with it, but I've only played the game once and I thought it was amazing.

The other problem I had with the game was the running and rolling, I could never master it.

But yes, it's a great game and definitely worth the money in my opinion.

Yes you do control with stylus, and you just draw the boat course and focus on the ride. Almost like a taxi cab. You also have a wallet that fills to 9,999 rupees. I'm am proud to say that I have filled it up over 6 times, and have nearly two golden ships on my logs.

It's a great game i bought it for 100 =\ but i say it's not worth 100 maybe 70?

I wouldn't buy it. Well, I would, since I'm collecting Zelda-stuff, but the game itself is depressing.

It's too easy and it hasn't got that unique Zelda-feeling. It felt like a game with great controls with the Zelda-franchise built around it. It wasn't solid. The puzzles were cheap and easy (random touchscreen thingies) and the world was too small to be Zelda-like. Not enough to explore.

Its a little boring to get a sword, kill hes monsters and kill him to break a curse...

But I would buy it if you want to play as a Phantom is multyplayer...

Yeah, its absolutely worth the money. its classic zelda(princess gets captured, you get sword, beat final boss and rescue the princess) but completely new. plus its a handheld.trust me, its worth the money.

It didn't really rival WW, that's way too much, but still it's a great game for a handheld.

The question is if you really like the Zelda series and the gimmicky controls of the stylus. If you like Zelda why would you pass a game up?

Anyway it's totally worth your buck.

IMO yes. It's a really fun game overall, but a few parts, like the Temple of the Ocean King, and the sailing, are really annoying. Also, consider this: this is a Zelda forum. 98% of people will say yes. However, on a natural forum, I'd say 78% would say yes. So, to sum it all up, go for it

Does your friend like the Zelda Franchise? if not, then maybe he did not enjoy the experience as much you would do. You could rent it for a few days and see if you like it or not.

I'm gonna have to agree with everything Shigeru said. One other problem I had was that it just deviated from the Zelda formula way too much for me. There's no bottles, only 18 heart containers to get, which only require 9 subquests and beating 6 bosses to get, no spells unless you count spirit powerups, no fairies or faeries, unless you count Link's...

Wow, you really described what makes a Zelda game unique. Fairies, bottles and 20 heart containers.
