Marin Troubles...

First, a little backstory: I'm a fan of Marin, and upon reading on GameFAQs that using the screen skip glitch allowed you to keep Marin following you for the rest of the game, I thought, "Ooh, that'd be cool, I should try it." Come to find out, my Link's Awakening DX can't do the screen warp glitch. I wasn't about to give up.

I decided to see if I could glitch my way past that walrus, keeping Marin and continuing on with the game. I tried using about every item I had to get past the walrus, but to no avail. I was seriously close though; I even managed to stick a "Dig it! Dig it to the center of the earth!" line in the middle of the scene where Marin wakes up the walrus. At any rate, I finally gave up that tactic.

So, I decided to go with the tactic of messing with the saving process. After a few tries, I finally cut off the saving at the right point to save the walrus being gone, but Marin still with me! All went well up until my trip to Turtle Rock.

In the part where I have to save Marin from the bridge, things get weird. First off, Marin is still following me AS WELL AS being on the bridge: two Marins. I save the trapped Marin, but when Tarin calls for her to return to the village, MY Marin is the one that responds! The programming doesn't know what to do, so the game freezes. The music plays, but buttons don't do anything... As far as I can tell, I'm stuck. Anyone have any ideas to help?

EDIT: I got by Marin by simply jumping on the tile next to her and continuing past the bridge. o.0 I dunno why I hadn't done that before, it was that simple. XD Anyway, there's still the matter of saving her... I'm going through level 8 now, so maybe she'll be saved when I get out...?

Thats the problem with glitches, you never know how they will effect you in the long run.
