Re: Official Handheld Zelda Help Thread

William Zelda4ever: Try going back to the place you lowered the water in the first place (you could look earlier in the walkthrough if you have trouble remembering). Lower the water, go to the first floor, and look around. There should be a place you can get a small key. Then find your way to the switches and step on both of the other ones, this will give you access to various keys... Here...this may help a little. It's a map I made. You'll have to check the key/legend thingy to understand it. It's not as good as a walkthrough, but it could help.

IpsenLegend: Fuse with the last Goron to come and break through the wall in the cave. BigGoron will wake up, go let him eat your shield and then come back later to get the Mirror Shield. If you haven't gotten all the Gorons, check the guide from ZU: here. Just make sure you've beaten Vaati before talking with him, or it won't work.

Re: Official Handheld Zelda Help Thread

Thanks, I'm gonna try, but I'm beginning to think I've done things in the wrong order and that I have to restart the game, I've heard of these kind of things happening.

I also did look for the water switch room, I know it's on the third floor, but I simply can't go there. There's always something blocking my path, be it the fact that I am swimming and cannot push the blocks in my way, or just that some doors are closed and won't open.

EDIT: Just tried your map, and all the ways that lead into a way of going to the 3rd floor are blocked.

Look at E3 and B3 on the 2nd floor. Those lead into the 3rd floor, right? Well, at E3 I'm supposed to use the Switch Hook, but I can't use it while in water. And look at B3, there's two blocks in the end of that room that I can't move while in water.

Re: Official Handheld Zelda Help Thread

Hmm...I can't quite remember what's in those rooms. But, if you're fully underwater, you can just set the long hook to A to use it. If your head is above water, then you're right, you can't.

Just remembered those rooms. I think you should be able to use the long hook in E3, if not, get back to us on that.

Re: Official Handheld Zelda Help Thread

This is most surprising; I can use the Long Hook while under the water. I've tried it before, but it never worked, funny that it works now all of a sudden.

Thank you very much for the help zeldafan364, I might post again in this thread if I am really stuck again. Respect.

Does anyone know anything about the Beatle in the market on TMC? Particularly how to get or find additional picolytes.

Re: Official Handheld Zelda Help Thread

Well, after getting back to Hyrule Town, you use the gust jar to get rid of the dust on his space, then he'll come later. After some time, I don't know when, you can go to the barrel house in Minish Village and go to the back. You will be sent to get different things for the Minish there, like Mt. Crenel Mineral Water, Lon Lon Milk, and one of the potions. After giving them to the guy, you have to wait until it blooms (go do stuff) and then you go get the next thing and give it to him...Beetle will find these and sell new ones.

I have all but one of the picolytes on mine. Below is a list of all the Picolytes that i currently have, what they do, and how to get them. Once I get the final one I will post it. Don't look if you dont want to know.

Red Picolyte: Default - Easier to find Hearts for Life Meter
White Picolyte: Default - Easier to find Kinstone Pieces
Green Picolyte: Default - Easier to find Mysterious Shells
Yellow Picolyte: Take Lon Lon Milk to Barrel House in Minish Village - Easier to find Rupees
Blue Picolyte: Take Mt. Crenal Mineral Water to Barrel House in Minish Village - Easier to find Items like Bombs & Rupees

i also had a TMC question for everyone... how do i get the Mirror Shield from Biggoron? Do I beat the game twice with the same player, or create a new player with the same name??? Please help me.

Re: Official Handheld Zelda Help Thread

Just beat the game once. Then fuse with the sixth Goron in the cave, then go to Veil Springs, let Biggoron eat your shield, go do random things, and come back later to get your mirror shield.

Re: Official Handheld Zelda Help Thread

I got a question. You know how you fuse with the little boy at the fountain, and it dries up a fountain in the castle's garden? Can you still go in the hole (in minish size) after the fusion? If you can how?

Re: Official Handheld Zelda Help Thread

Well, after getting the water element, some guards will disappear, letting you get into the eastern edge of the courtyard. Use the pegasus boots on the tree there to reveal a portal. Now, just find your way through the bushes to the fountain, you can walk around the big stairs and into the Minish hole. Actually, you can't get in before fusing.

You also need the Dash Attack from Swiftblade.

you might want to check out the "no you don't" thread if you still have any questions about the shield.

Re: Official Handheld Zelda Help Thread

I can't help you, Kojiro, but I'm sure someone else will come along soon.

justin3: I'm too lazy to PM you, so - you have to push the block to the right, out of the blocks. Then push it in a small circle, and push it to the tile. When the flame turns red, you've gotten it right, and the door will open.

Re: Official Handheld Zelda Help Thread

Here Kojiro, this is from ign.com

Bomb Bag Upgrades
-----------------

When you first get the Bombs, you can only carry 10 at once. Find these
upgraded bags so you can carry more:

30-Bomb Bag: On Mt. Crenel, climb the large wall on the west side. Climb onto
a ledge to the right and bomb your way in. Throw a Bomb into the
fountain and pick the third answer to get the upgrade.

50-Bomb Bag: Fuse a Kinstone with Belari in the Minish Woods, and a chest
will appear in the Wind Ruins, just outside the dungeon. Open
the chest to find this bag upgrade.

Quiver Upgrades
---------------

After you get the Bow, you start off carrying 30 arrows at once. Get the
upgraded quivers in order to carry some more:

50-Arrow Quiver: Buy from the shop in Hyrule Town (600 Rupees).

70-Arrow Quiver: From where you enter the Royal Valley, go down and bomb the
wall between the pieces of fencing to find a cave. Inside,
the Great Fairy will ask you some questions (the way to
answer is: No, No, Yes, No, No). Do this all correctly to
receive the large quiver for your honesty.

99-Arrow Quiver: Fuse a Kinstone with the Forest Minish in the hole at the
Wind Ruins. This will cause a stalk to grow not too far
ahead. Climb it and open the chest to get this upgrade.
