Tuni Nut WTF?

So in Oracle of Ages Symmetry village in the past has their beloved Tuni nut, which Link works his @$$ off to find the crazy guy to repair it, and then when you get to the future, everything is great and happy and lovely, but the Tuni nut and the building it was in is gone. So much for their wonderful sacred nut. *grumble grumble*

maybe it grew into the gale nut tree that's in its place?

I forget what happened when I went throug there as I played the game, so I don't have an explanation for that.

well I just think it's dumb that it's SO important to them, so you get it, and then something happens over 400 years that either made them abandon their "worship" of it... they needed something right in the middle to have perfect symmetry, so maybe the gale nut tree in the present time fufills that role. question is... did it grow FROM the tuni nut, or is it something else? and if so, what made them abandon their beloved tuni nut?
