Re: Best GBC Zelda
LA is the best. The story was awesome. The characters were great and memorable. The dungeons were unique and fun. And the music was great. I really liked all of the items you found in the game even though most of them ouy find in ALttP but I played this beofre ALttP so they seemed much more special. Plus what beats a fire rod with no limit to magic power.

Re: Best GBC Zelda
Hey, Leo, congratulations on the 1000. Hope it was a goon 'un.
![]() As for the best Zelda Game Boy game? It's nearly impossible to decide. I'm going to have to say Link's Awakening just because of the fact that I feel nostalgic right now, but the two Oracle games were incredibly good in their own right. |

Re: Best GBC Zelda
I really loved playing through the double-Oracle quest, since it was the freakin' largest Zelda quest I've ever played. That linking option was really innovative.
Don't get me wrong, though. Link's Awakening is pretty darn close, but I like the Oracles slightly more.

Re: Best GBC Zelda
I've only played the Oracle Series, and I am going to have to go with OoA. I just liked it better.

Re: Best GBC Zelda
Sadly, i never played La, but i picked Ages over Seasons because being able to travel through time reminded me of OoT, which gave it a familiar feel. Also, the Deku Tree was cooler in Seasons, as well as having to retrieve your items from the dinosaur guys....

Re: Best GBC Zelda
I've never got a chance to be the oracles. I'd have to pick LA, it was pretty good. Fun and it seemed funner than what I played of OoS and OoA. I didn't really like the idea of having to use two gamepacks to beat it all.
Link's Awakining was awesome. |

Re: Best GBC Zelda
I voted for Ooa because i found it harder and more challenging then Oos. As for LA i havent beaten the whole game, im only about half done so, it wouldn't be right of me to vote for it. Ooa was better because i thaught it was cooler to go back in time opposed to changing the seasons. I'm not saying I dont like seasons because iv'e beaten it more the i did the other, I just found it too easy.

Re: Best GBC Zelda
I didn't get the chance to play Link's Awakening. I liked the Oracle of Ages better than Seasons, because i had more puzzles than Seasons, and the ability to get more time-traveling devices seemed more like more of a progression than getting a few season rods.
With the use of rods, it's just changing the seasons, and nothing more. Nothing special about it, since you can move to a new area on the map and go back to the same area, and the season would go back to its default state. Whereas with time-traveliing, you get this sense of aboundness for every musical instrument you acquire. And plus, with a whole new area comes a whole new puzzle to solve.

Re: Best GBC Zelda
I would go for OoA, I haven't played LA yet, but I have played OoS. I quite enjoyed playing it until I got stuck, then I put it down and haven't played it since.

Re: Best GBC Zelda
I have played all three, loved all of them dearly but this is my order and why
1: LA: because it had such a great plot and gameplay 2: OoA: like others have said, time traveling, great puzzles, and it showed both Gorons and Zoras. 3:OoS: The only reason I can think for this one is I liked the battle between General Onox, especially when he was in his dragon state.
