Am I missing anything

This isn't a help thread like the title may suggest. I recentley imported a Japanese copy of PH and am wondering if I should by the English. I can undersatnd a little over half of what I am reading but I don't know if I'm truly missing anything. I've almost beaten the came but was wondering wether or not spending more money on the English version is worth it. I might want to see some differences in the game style

Like how the one imposter speaks in katakana instead of hiragana like all the other residents, which points him out to be different.

I still get some of the humor like "just because I'm yellow doesn't mean I'm a banana", but not all of it. I'm pretty sure I understand the story but I just need to know if I should shell out more money.

Personally, I think you're not missing anything in terms of gameplay.

If you're worried about not getting the finer points of the story, this is a Japanese/English comparison table, showing how Nintendo of America translated the original Japanese. That should save you some money!

For some reason the encoding on that site isn't working for me. I can't read the Japanese even though I have it installed. Please tell me if this is basically right(Don't read if you didn't play or beat the game)

Link is sailing the seas with Tetra and company. Tetra yells at link for goofing off. A ghost ship pulls up to the boat next to them and Tetra jumps onto investigate. Link then trys to follow suit after he hears her scream, unfortunatley he falls off. He is then awakened on meruka island(sorry don't know the English name) by a fairy named Ciela(I thought it was Shiela for the longest time, her name in Japanese is シ江良｢shiera]). Anyway link goes to the old man and finds out he has to find the Power, Wisdom and Courage spirits to guide him. (I think i missed the part about Lineback, oh well). Any way after getting all three Ciela finds out she is in fact a special fairy(Courage). Link finds the ghost ship and finds Tetra. Unfortunatley she is turned to stone. Link must defeat Bellum to revive her, but first he needs to aquire a new sword. To do so he must aquire 3 new things.

Tetra's life force has been sucked out by Bellum. Bellum is specifically after this life force, found in all things, which physically manifests as the Sand of Hours. Bellum controls the Ghost Ship in order to do so, and attacked Oshus- who is really the Ocean King- for his life force.

Oops I forgot those these, I knew who the old man really was (minus his name) and about the other thing you mentioned I just wasn't 100% sure.
