Final boss troubles, control issue or is it my fault?

I was just fighting Bellum (my second try, the first try I didn't have any potions and didn't pay much attention so I died really easily) and I got Ciela's memory back and she gave me this "LINK HARNES THE POWA OF DA FANTOM OWERGLAS" speech and told me to draw an hourglass or figure 8.

I tried for like 20 minutes and I COULD NOT DRAW IT ONCE. I tried every possible way to draw it and I couldn't. I tried so hard and I was really really frustrated.

Anyway, after about half an hour of struggling to draw it and Bellum constantly hitting me I died after using both of my potions! I never did get it to draw correctly even one time!

Did you have difficulty drawing it? I can't help but think it's a design flaw. I'm going to go to bed soon and enjoy my cousin's birthday tomorrow (Technically today) and then on the 16th I'll try and beat Bellum...

I was in the same situation you were in. I had the impression that I was to draw an 8 or the hourglass "On It's Side", but it practically never worked. I ended up slowly dying once, but then I finally beat him after nearly an hour of constantly drawing the hourglass on its side over & over & over. I somehow managed to get it, but I knew it wasn't the proper way.

But the truth is though... DO NOT do a figure 8.

Either draw an 8 straight up, or the hourglass straight up. THEN it should work more frequently.

I did do the hourglass straight up. It's what I did the most. I also tried 8 straight up many times. I actually stopped drawing the hourglass on it's side after about 5 minutes...

I hate the "draw all at once" parts of this game like this. I hated drawing the triforce (I could never get it and then I scribbled madly on the screen in frustration and then GOT IT and I also hate the cyclone teleportation, why can't they just have you tap the frogs to go there?)

I don't see where the drawing an 8 on it's side comes from; that's an infinity sign, not a figure 8. Anyways, I was drawing straight up and I still had trouble...I got it about 1 in 3 times. And the thing with the triforce door; if you looked closely at Zauz's diagram, there was a point at the top with an arrow pointing down to the left; when you drew it on the door, you HAD to start from the top and draw down to the left or it wouldn't work.

Start here and draw down the red side.----------v

You can't use spaces in it, hence the - and _ signs.
