|
mic problem
I am currently playing phantom hourglass, I need to yell into my mic so the door will open and I can talk to Astria or whaterver her name is, and no matter how loud or clear I yell it dosen't work, any ideas.

Don't yell it (unless that's what they tell you to do). When you try to do things with a mic it's best to make sure it's a good distance from your face and speak in a normal voice. If you're yelling it might not be able to understand it correctly because the sound will be too loud or something. So try speaking quietly.
Or, are you sure you're saying the right thing? I haven't played PH, so I don't know if that could be a problem or not yet. If none of that seems to help, maybe it's the mic. Has it worked well with other games? If it's the system causing trouble, perhaps you could find a friend near you and borrow their DS to get through door.

There is nothing more hilarious than me trying to whisper a shout into the DS microphone because the wife is sleeping at 11:30 at night.
It took me about 20 "Heys!" in a whisper, and one loud "Stupid B itch!!" to get that one damn door to open.

So I'd recommend just snapping your fingers, clapping your hands, or just blowing into the mic.

I had another problem blowing out the candles in the first temple. I kept blowing, and the damn candles wouldn't go out. Then I realized that I wasn't right up on the candle...and that's why it didn't work.
I feel like I'm getting stupider with age.
