Some OoA Trouble.

OoA is one of my favorite Gameboy Zelda games, but Ive had trouble on it for quite some time now. When I start a continued game, giving Farore the secrets for an awesome item always works. But when I'm on non-continued game from seasons, take King Zora for example, none of the secrets I tell him result in me getting the master sword. Has anyone else had this problem?

Re: Some OoA Trouble.

Is there a Master Sword in OoA?
Didn't know that... I thought Noble Sword was the final sword...

Re: Some OoA Trouble.

In order for the codes to work, the games have to be connected in some way.

For example, if you beat OOS and you get a secret to Holodrom password, use that on a new OOA file. Then you beat that game and use the password from that game on a new OOS file. Then all codes should work.

^^ Sounds confusing?

Here's a summary:

1: Get password from OOS.
2: Use that password in OOA.
3: Get password from ^ OOA game.
4: Use that password for a new OOS game.

Note: If starting with OOA, change all OOS in the above to OOA, and change OOA to OOS.

Re: Some OoA Trouble.

What are you asking? I can't quite understand what the problem is. Are you saying that you don't quite understand the password system? I think what you're asking is...how to get a Master Sword in a non-linked game...? If that's it, well, you can't. The best you can get is the Noble Sword unless you're playing a linked game.

To answer the first reply, yes, there is a Master Sword in the Oracle series, as well as a Mirror Shield; however, the Level 3 items are not available unless you're playing a linked game, as I said.

EDIT: After re-reading what you wrote, I'm wondering if what you're asking about is the Hero's Secret. If so, then the answer is still basically you're out of luck. Playing with the Hero's Secret is no different than playing a non-linked game except for the fact that you start with an extra heart container and the victory ring, I'm pretty sure.
