ALttP/FS

So last night after work I zipped on over to GameStop, bought myself a used GameBoy Advance SP (Black), crossed the street over to Best Buy, and bought ALttP/FS since its Player's Choice and only $20. I'm rather excited to play ALttP seeing as the only difference between it and the SNES version is that its no longer on a TV, but on a mini portable screen. Does anyone else own this magnificent game for GBA and if so, did you enjoy it?

Re: ALttP/FS

Yes, I've played both the Super NES and GBA versions of LttP. The differences are only minor, and each have their pros and cons. But overall, a very enjoyable experience on the GBA.

Are you going to attempt to get someone else to play FS with you too? Completing that game unlocks stuff in LttP that aren't in the Super NES version.

When you say differences what exactly do you mean? I actually thought the SNES and GBA ALttP were exactly the same except for the unlockable stuff from FS and what not?

I'd like to play FS with someone, but I have noone to play it with. I'm sure I'll mess around in FS a bit, but unfortunately I won't be able to complete it with a friend.

Yeah, I own it, as it's a great way to get my fix of my favorite ever video game whenever I feel the need!

The differences are only minor, yes, but I believe the differences in text outline something quite major, namely OoT=IW.

Also, all you can do with FS in single player is watch the opening, nothing more. I have yet to play FS, even though I have owned since it's release date. =(

Yeah that's the only think I'm disappointed with. I have noone to play FS with. I think the concept of the game is really neat and I'd like to play it through, but I believe I'm the only Zelda Fanatic out of my friends.

Yeah, like DK said, the differences are only minor (Link's voice on GBA being the only irritating one). Here's a full list:
GameFAQs: The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (GBA) SNES/GBA Changes FAQ by KrysT711

As for FS, well, I do live in the same state as you. If it were possible to meet up, I could help ya out! You wouldn't happen to be coming through Columbia anytime soon, would you?

That's right. I forgot I had heard about the voice thing. Thanks for the link I'll definitely check that out.

Well I'm not too far from you actually. I live in Myrtle Beach, but I'm actually about to move down to Charleston to go to college. Haha well instead of going through Columbia I'm just moving down the coast. Hmmm its a shame, it really is.

I've given it a go, but only quickly, and it didn't work.

I have no patience for glitches.....

Any tips on the best way of getting it to work?

Re: ALttP/FS

LttP Four Swords was the first time I ever played Link to the Past. I've played Four Swords a few times with a friend of mine, and it is really a great game. Unfortunately, I've gone and lost the game, but I think I know where it is, so I think I'm fine.
Anyway, a very enjoyable game.

I love the GBA port of ALttP; so cool to have such an awesome game in your pocket at any time.
