potential ALttP for the GBA glitch

Alright, well I'm new to this forum so I don't know if anyone has already talked about this, but just today a glitch happened in my ALttP game. I finally got a friend to play four swords with me and I unlocked the four swords temple in ALttP. I was going through the temple and after I finally got through all the bosses I saved my game, then I noticed my mirror shield was missing. I don't know when it first dissapeared, I was to busy trying to stay alive and solve puzzles. So I went to turtle rock to get it back, and the chest was open, so it was saying I already had it.
I want to know if I can get it back. I have finally done everything in the game and I don't want to be missing the shield. Anyone know about this?

On the Game Boy Advance version I'm pretty sure that they added a shield shop. If memory serves it's to the west of the Pyramid in the Dark World. I'm almost positive you can get a new Mirror Shield there. Chances are a Like Like got your shield somewhere.

I thought that like likes couldn't eat the mirror shield though?

No. You're thinking of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. Like Likes won't eat the Mirror Shield in those games, but they will in A Link to the Past. I wanted to make sure, so I just went and checked. I found a Like Like and sure enough, it ate my Mirror Shield. I also checked and there is a shield shop. It's in the forested area directly across the river to the west of the Pyramid in the Dark World. You can buy a new Mirror Shield for 100 ruppees.

That still interesting though... why would that happen. I know that your progress in LTTP can affect FS but the other way around? maybe it's just a corrupt save file or something.

If my memory serves well, that shop is in the SNES version as well.

Thanks. I haven't played my game in a while, so I wasn't quite sure.

I don't remember a shield shop being there, but it's been a long time since I played the game, so chances are that I overlooked it.

It's not exactly in the most obvious place. In an area that leads only to a dead in which, in Hyrule, has nothing of any real significance or interest, it's easy to overlook it.

Hmmm Strange, i know that they can oth afect the other game, but not to that extent.

thats really weird.

Probably you lost it in LttP, and only noticed it after you had played FS. I don't think the games are that interconnected. In fact, I think the only way they effect eachother is the upgrades and so-forth in FS and the Palace of Four Sword in LttP.
