Your Favorite Items from the Gameboy Zeldas?

The portable Zeldas had alot of unique and memorable items. I want to know which ones are your guys favorites? List your top 3-5. (theres so many of em why pick just 1? )

Oracle of Seasons/Ages Items - Rod of Seasons, Roc's Cape, Magnetic Gloves, Magical Boomerang, Hyper Sling Shot..

Mystic Seeds, Noble Sword (lv-2), Iron Shield (lv-2), Animal Flutes.

Harp of Ages, Power Gloves, Cane of Somaria, Switch/Long Hook, Seed Shooter

Link's Awakening Items - Bow & Arrows, Shovel, Boomerang, Hook Shot, Pegasus Boots, Magic Powder, Ocarina, Power Bracelet, Roc's Feather, Magic Rod.

Minish Cap - (haven't played) so you guys tell me about the items in here.

My List

1. Roc's Cape - Loved this item. The Roc's feather..was nothing to write home about...but leaping giant gorges, and holes with a grand cape was awesome. I always had it set to my secondary item slot after obtaining it while travelling around the overworld.

2. Hook Shot - Grappeling across pits, and rivers with this in Links Awakening was an awesome feeling not only that but it made for a pretty powerful and rangey weapon as well. Extra useful.

3. Cane Of Somaria - I have no clue why I like this item so much, creating a magical block with a wave of this staff just felt cool though. I'm actually dissapointed in how rarely it was even needed in the game..only the occasional puzzle here and there. This item had alot of potential stuff that could've been done with it.

My favorite item was the Roc's Cape. Being able to jump three pits (more if you were running) was really advantageous. Also, capes just rock. It's too bad they aren't still in style today. I'd wear one.

Roc's feather/Roc's cape. Anything that allowed me to jump was a huge plus.

OK:

Swords:

Smith Sword:Nothing special, average sword
White Sword L-1: Likewise ^
White Sword L-2: Allows to split into 2 links
White Sword L-3: Allows to split into 3 links
Four Sword: Allows to split into 4 links

Shields:

Small Shield: Regular Shield
Mirror Shield: Reflects projectiles back at enemies as light blasts

Items:

Rang: Regular Rang
M. Rang: Same as rang from OoS

bombs: umm, yeah...
remote bombs: Allows you to control when it explodes

Gust Jar: Allows you to blow large gusts of air, and suck up small enemies and shoot them

Cane of Pacci: Shoots blasts that flip rocks, jars, etc. NOT A WEAPON

Mole Mitts: an advanced shovel

Bow + Arrow: I'm sure you know
Light Arrow:Hold down the button assigned to to shoot light arrows, kills enemies in 1 hit and keeps going until a wall stops it, or any thing like that

Ocarina of Wind: Basically the same as the flute from ALttP

Roc's Cape: Allows user to jump about... 7 squares. With a fan behind you... about 30 spaces at most.

Equipment:

Grip Ring: Allows to climb up bumpy walls
Power Bracelets: Allows you to move large stuff as a minish
Flippers: ... yeah.

I'd have to say the light arrow beacause it's one of the coolest items in the game man!

Alright, my three. 1: Light Arrow (awesome! They go so far.) 2: Mirror Shield ("HAHAHA! Stupid Octorocks!") 3: Kinstones (You forgot those. If two halves of a Kinstone are connected by two people good luck is rumored to happen. Fusing them together with people all the way from Tingle, to a little baby chick. Good passing time))

Favourite Sword -- White Sword, obviously
Favourite Unique Projectile Weapon -- Seed Shooter (had interesting special features/twists)
Favourite Unique Item Overall -- Magnetic Gloves

Though it may not be a popular Zelda game (nor is it a game many people have played because of the requirements...), we should still add Four Swords into the mix. I've never played the game, but ZU has a list of the items/weopons:
Four Sword
Sheild
Bow/Arrow
Bombs
Boomerang
Gnat Hat (same purpose/effects of Elzo the Minish Cap)
Magnetic Glove
Pegasus Shoes
Roc's Cape

Though nothing new has been shown on the table, I just wanted FS to get a small moment of attention (you could always choose the Gnat Hat if you found Elzo annoying).

My favorite weopons?
BigGoron Sword from OoS/OoA: You can only get it via password. This shouldn't be a surprize to anybody.

Magic Rod from LA: This is clearly the most powerful weopon in the game.

Roc's Cape & Pegasus Boots: These two are lethal together. If they were real, I'm sure one could run and jump a section of the Grand Canyon. Alone, one can jump on Goombas and do the jump-stab attack (as shown in tMC, FSA, and TP). Pegasus Boots plus a sword; all I can say is "Charge!!"
Let's seee...that's four weopons, I have room for one more.

tMC's Mirror Sheild: Sure, other Gameboy Zelda sheilds block enemy attacks, but this is the only one that reflects it right back (only horzontally and vertically).

Four Sword -- YOU GET TO CHANGE INTO FOUR PEOPLE DAMMIT.
Roc's Cape -- The only time you EVER get to jump in a Zelda Game manually...
Pegasus Boots -- It's so fun to run at things and end up banging your head against the wall. I do it alot. And I am so skilled that I can do it without the game.
Bombs -- Chucking bombs at things. That's so fun. BOOM.

Well, kinstones... I guess. I wasn't going to list them, but I guess they're required to beat the game.

I just remembered the other item I liked a lot. The Gust Jar. Go sailing on a lillypad! It was the best in the Temple Of Droplets!

I think my fave things would be:
1.Roc's Cape- who doesnt love jumping over a million lil people?
2.Mooshe's Flute:who doesnt like getting mauled by animals?
3.Master Sword-Do i really have to say it? hwo doesnt love killing your enemies with a huge sword?
4.Light arrows: kill a million enemies at once!

1: Gnat hat (FS)- Shrink any time, allows you to walk on ice without slipping.
2: Chain Chomp (FS)- MAULED!
3: Flipy staff of doom (tMC)- FLIPPED!

Yup, I agree with you. It's so fun finding kingtones and combining them with others, especially when a fountain or hole is releaved, your adrenaline just rises. Other than that, I like the Pegasus Boots and Bow & Arrow, I just like shooting from a distance for some reason XD

My favorite portable zelda item you ask? Are you sure you want to know? Its not for the faint of heart. Who am I? I'm Spider man -- movie projector

Anyway my favorite has to be...(thinking in real life) i'd say the Harp of Ages from OoA. I liked the song and the ability to travel through time without the master sword was really cool. But I think my most favorite was in OoA when you get the flute to call one of those 3 animals to ride on. That was fun.

A Chain Chomp is an actual item in FS?! I'm surprised and happy (another Mario cameo that made it into yet another Zelda game. First appeared in LA as Bow Wow, then in ALttP's Turtle Rock & Four Sword Temple, and now as an item here). Since I never had the privilage to actually play that game, would you mind telling everyone what does it do? Is it any different than Bow Wow from LA? What other items in FS are used that isn't shown in ZU's mainsite item guide?
