2. Now this glitch is messed up! Freakish. Go into Hyrule Castle with the main entrance. Go left one room. Now go to the northern doorway, but do not enter. Use the backwards walking trick to enter the exit backward. This next part doesn't always happen, so you may have to try again. Also, if you access the room north, you have failed the glitch. Try again. Moving on, if you did it right Link will go beserk and start moving all over the room. Keep holding on to the control stick while this happens. Now, if your lucky you will now be in a room with nothing in it, Link will not be visible.

If you did not go into that blank room, you may find yourself in the castle. You will notice weird stuff. If you pick up a pot it will disappear immediately, you walk under and therefore take not damgager from soldiers, and you will make no sound if you swing your sword, which is harmless to enemies. If you exit a room, you will vanish then reappear in the next room.

If you did manage to enter the blank room, you've just hacked into the game's dungeon storage. Wander around and you might find different rooms from all over the game. So far I've accesed Skull Woods and the Ice Tower and Misery Mire. I've even met Aganhim and he makes Zelda vanish even though he never kidnapped her again. Whenever you enter a room, you usually cannot see Link. He cannot attack nor take damage from enemies. In fact, he can walk through anything. Link is walking under the room. If you walk into a hole, you'll see Link standing in it. Sometimes, you'll hop as if jumping from a ledge and land in the room. If this happens, you can now interact with the room to an extent. If you manage to hop into a room and exit that dungeon, you will enter the outerworld as usual. Then if you reenter, the dungeon will be normal again. Sometimes the rooms have totally out of whack-colors, negatives I think. The music is still Hyrule Castle music, unless you exit. Some rooms are simply just a single color. I've found these rooms are usually links in between the different dungeons. You can even enter boss rooms, though cannot kill them. Occasionally you will access rooms that once you enter, you cannot proceed any further so you must save and quit or reset. The graphics often get messed up too. It is hard to explain this glitch. There must be hundreds of side affecst.

If your lucky, you'll find the room with the triforce in it and you will beat the game right then and there. It will automatically trigger the ending animations. During the end credits, it will still rain if you haven't saved Zelda from Aganhim the first time. By doing this, you can beat the game very quickly. Also, after I beat the game using this glitch when I started the next time I was a bunny, even though I was in the light world.

Is the glitch harmful. Possibly. You are literally hacking into your own game if you think about it. Sometimes the rooms freeze, so you cannot do anything but press start. I use it and so far it hasn't erased any memory or anything. I believe it to be safe, but use it at your own risk.

This glitch it the most helpful glitch in the world. You can skip dungeons, skip Ganon, go into dungeons your not supposed to access yet, and even beat the game. The possiblities are endless. This glitch is awesome!

I'm not joking, this is a real glitch. If you have trouble manuevering this glitch or my invisible link glith for LA, PM me and I'll try to help you. These two glitches probably work for the SNES, but I cannot confirm it because I lost the adapter to my SNES. Oh well. Have fun with these glitches!

Edit: Warning! I was playing around with this glitch, saved and quited, retuned, and the game showed a room in Hyrule Castle. Zelda gave her speach which she normally says at the beginning. After I finish reading it the game is frozen. This glitch can possibly freeze your file for eternity, so I suggest you use a seperate file for performing this glitch.
i cant walk backwards do u have to use a regular gba, not an sp

I've not tried yet, but I think it'll be easily done if you're using a Gameboy player, y'know, down on the control pad and up for the control stick.

Re: Official Handheld Zelda Glitch Thread

You really can't do it on an actual GBA/SP unless your willing to pry it open so you can press both buttons at the same time.

I'm not sure if this is different on the GBA version of lttp but on the snes version if you use that glitch in Hyrule Castle, make your way to another dungeon and then beat the boss in that dungeon you would get the ether medallion instead of a pendant/crystal. I think you get a different item in the GBA version though but I can't remember what it was.

Re: Official Handheld Zelda Glitch Thread

Link's Awakening-

When you have Marin following you, go into the game shop you use to get the Yoshi doll. Marin will ask if she can play the game. Let her play it (it will still cost you 10 rupees) and she will go over to the crane and use it to grab the shopkeep! The man will be dropped down the conveyor, then say something like "Wow, you must be a pro at this!...We don't allow professionals! Now shoo!"

I watched my friend do it so I don't have first hand experience but I'm pretty sure that'll work.

How do you open treasure chests in DHW? It won't let me open them. I did kill the mini boss in Tail Cave in DHW. The fairy appears as normal but it brings up an invisible start menu. It's funny to see the distorted... thing running into the log, but the log doesn't move. What if we started a new topic where people post their adventures and... things, they've encountered in DHW.

Re: Official Handheld Zelda Glitch Thread

looooooooooool!!!! I'm playing ages again (continued from seasons) and I was stuck at the 8th boss (couldn't pick up the chainballs, always got damaged) so whene I tried him the 3th time, when I got to his second form and bomed the right flower (the one with the seeds inside nnot bombs) I heard the sound you hear when you do something good, beat a boss or and things like that. when I checked the door it was open. I just ent though and got the essence even though I beat his first from and damaged his second form once. the game still continues but I'm missing one heart container and I can always fight the boss xD

There's a place on the bottom of Link's wall(the room where the Smith is). Keep tapping around, and you'll hear a bombable wall sound. Bomb it, and it'll stop.

Re: Official Handheld Zelda Glitch Thread

Ok, first of all, the screen warp glitch in Link's Awakening (hit select just as you transition screens, then you'll re-appear on the "wrong" side of the screen) can damage your game cartridge. I've heard of a time where a poor gamer, while trying to do the glitch, actually completely erased his game; and I don't mean the save file. I mean the game. The cartridge, and everything on it was deleted.

Also, I have a small glitch for Link's Awakening, don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but if you go into the Mysterious Woods, equip the Power Bracelet, and pull on the northeast corner of the large grass/bushes/whatever, you'll pull a rock out of nowhere, and the area you pulled on will change into a weird door sprite. I like to call this glitch, "Door to Nowhere" (well, that's the name a lot of people who know of this gave it, anyway). It's fairly cool, and good to try if you're playing the game, and you're in the neighborhood, but it's not something I'd start the game up for, just to do that. As far as usefulness goes, well, I suppose you could throw the stone at an enemy, but that's about the only real use for this glitch. I don't think it'll hurt the game, but be cautious; as I've said, the screen warp glitch is a LOT more dangerous than the TC thought, so this glitch may not be harmless, either.

Oh, and that thing where Marin plays the Trendy Game and "wins big time"? That's not a glitch. That's just a cool thing the developers put in, what are they called? Easter eggs? Yeah, I think that's the term for something like this.

Push down on the walking pad. Then start walking diagonal. Now, let go of the down part of the walking pad and keep holding the other part that was causing link to walk diagonal. Then, still holding the left or right of the walking pad, press up to. Link will appear to be walking backward. Some weird effects: Link may appear to loose all but his head, if you use the power bracelets he will be in a weird pose, if you use the pegasus shoes he'll do something weird, he may appear to have the shield even if it isn't equipped, and if you use your sword you may see half a signpost. Anyways, charge your sword and perform a spin attack. Link will dissapear. If you jump you can still see his shadow and all the items are visible when used. While invisible, as soon as you enter or exit a building, you'll be visible.

Is it harmful: I don't know, so use the glitch sparringly, it might do something dangerous to the game.

Invisible Link is cool, and the other weird effects are entertaining, but not useful at all.

Is it usef

I'm having this same problem!! I've purchased 3 different DX Cartridges and they all have the same problem! I'm experiencing this on a GBA SP and the GB Player for gamecube.

Can anyone Please confirm this glitch? it makes the game unplayable!!

I'm now forced to play the original Non-color version now, and thats just not cool.

I cant find info on this game breaking glitch anywhere. someone please help

Um, what are you talking about? I tried looking there, and didn't see what you seemed to be referring to.

Re: Official Handheld Zelda Glitch Thread

I don't know if this is really a glitch, but I'll give it a shot.

Easy Ship Parts in PH:
1. Get alot of money (whatever way you can, it does not matter)
2. Go to Beddles ship, and buy whatever ship parts that you need
3. Save and turn off your DS
4. Turn your DS back on, and go to your DS settings
5. Change the date to one day in the future
6. Play PH again and go to Beddles ship
7. Poof, magic. Beddle has new ship parts
8. Buy if you need
9. Repeat steps 1-8

and there you go. Buy all the ship parts you need.

I am so glad I clicked on this thread. With a of patience I can get those last few without trouble.

Far and away the best way to get ship parts en masse is with the cannon game, then the last few via this route.

Also, whilst it occurs to me: if you come across a day where Beedle offers you 5 times as many points for purchases (this happened to me 2 days ago), take note of it and when you make a spend on anything that isn't day specific like the bomb bag or a potion, set the day on your DS to that day and rack up some points.

In fact you could just do it to get lots of point like buying a ship part even if you have it.
