Chris Houlihoun Room

I dont think their were any threads about this before but I have a question. In the SNES version of ALttP theres the Chris Houlihoun room but can somebody tell me if theres a Chris Houlihoun room in the GBA version. I heard its not but im not sure so before I check could somebody tell me?

No, you cannot access the Chris Houlihan room in the GBA version. It still exists (you can access with a Gameshark, actually), but for some reason they changed it so you can't get into it.

Also, they changed the name to Top Secret Room.

Yeah I wish they kept everything the same since the old version. I dont think you can get the super bee. Can you?

::blinks:: it's in the same place it always is. You are refering to the one that is in the cave to the right of where you get the Ice Rod, yes? You go in there and dash into the statue that is in the middle of the room. The bee comes flying out and you catch it.

The GBA version of Link to the Past is actually based on the Japanese game, not the American one. It wasn't called the Chris Houlihoun Room in the Japanese cart, since that was for a contest here in the US, as I recall.

((If that was true, shouldn't they have changed the dungeons names accordingly as well??))

They kept the old translations, with a few changes here and there. They didn't want to have to re-translate the entire game, obviously.

well they should have put it in again! or made it a new contest! that woulda been cool!
