What are these supposed to BE?

I was bored awhile ago, so I popped Oracle of Ages into my SP and started dinking around. I went into this cave:

What are these statues supposed to be? They don't look like a person, nor any Zelda monster I've ever seen...

It's seems to me that is a genie statue. I don't know why Nintendo would use genie statues, but from what I know, when Link gets L-2 Power Gloves, he is able to lift them up. It's just to emphasize what other things Link can lift up with the L-2 Power Gloves, the genie statues.

They look like tombs with some sorta archway on top.

It's Ganon. Think of the yellow dots as eyes and upward curving parts as tusks.

It could be Ganon, I suppose... Those are eyes, I think, but it looks more bewildered-beetle-elephant-thinglike than Ganonlike. Any other ideas?

It could be ganon because he's got the eyes and tusks but i'm not so sure.

They are actually sarcophaguses. Notice you see these things later in the game at the last dungeon, Ancient Tomb.

Sounds reasonable; I see what could be folded arms, and those things are in Level 8. Hm...
Pretty odd-looking for sarcophagi, though. Ket still wonders.

The statue is obviously some.... bird of some sort. Yeah... or maybe it's a bug? I dunno.

It's not a statue first of all >_> If you knew what 3D was you'd be able to know that they are lying down.

I think they look a bit like Ganon. Meh... I'm probably wrong.

But they look more like fairies or angels to me.

I think that they look kinda like Queen Ambi...but that's just me. I always thought that they were the sarchofigi [coffin-things, I can't spell] of past rulers or something... :embrsd: Wierd idea, I know. I'll shut up now.

There seem to be what look like turbans on their tops, but the resemblance ends there.

It is a statue, because if Link picked it up from that far from the middle, it would fall. Also, it's shadow isn't that long, and is surrounding Link.

Edit: Oh yeah, and it's a statue of Ambi.

/\ good find, and i have never played the nes or gameboy Zelda games before, but good find

those things confused me so much when i first saw them, then i got the power gloves and i found out that there was a treasure chest under one of them
