Where does it fit?!

I dont get where the MC and FS fit in to Zelda. Are they like MM? IM CONFUSED! sry its in the wrong place please move to general zelda.

This doesn't go here. Try putting them in the Game Boy section. I would try the timeline on this site, which is usually pretty good. They might have it in there.

This topic is probably going to be moved, but I'll post this now.

As I mentioned in another topic, I've recently started to fancy the split timeline theory (so now I can finally have ALttP, LA, LoZ, AoL and the Oracles in a timeline with no Flood to spoil the magic )

There's no guarantee where they will fit, but until there's a point in the timeline I like to call the 'retro' timeline or 'old school' timeline where the Hylians loose ALL of their powers for some time, my guess is that TMC fits best in the 'new school' timeline... after TWW. There should be no game between, unless they make a game about the Hero of Men.

This would automatically place FS and FSA in the 'new school' timeline. Thinking back on Aonuma's statement that FSA is the 'earliest' legend, this would make sense.

First of all, there's the legend about the boy who saved the maidens from the clutches of Vaati. Secondly, FS takes place before FSA, and therefore FSA can't be the earliest.

However, it can be the latest, and chances are that Aonuma's statement was a mistranslation. It could have supposed to be 'latest' instead of 'earliest'.

Something just hit me.
The whole Four Sword series would have to fit before WW because the Minish would've been drowned by the water right? But then again some must have survived because in both OoT to WW to LoZ you can always find rupees in pots and grass (which the picori place secretly to help others) so i dunno where it would go. Possibly periodically, TMC very early, then generations later FS, then FSA. Who knows, Nintendo's not specific.

I put the Four Sword series in its own timeline, because there are confusing points. FSA, due to several details, I believe happened in the same timeframe as ALttP. This means there would be Gerudos after TWW.

Taking off after thunder bird I just have something to add. FS goes before FSA and FSA goes before ALttP and after TWW. See in FSA they explain how Ganon got the trident (it was left behind to grant it´s user evil power) that he used to battle Link in ALttP, well that is not much but it´s one of the best links between the two games.

You may be on to something, because that may be the only time Ganon fights with a trident. Besides Phantom Ganon from OoT, but that doesn't mean anything.
