Dark World=Subrosia?

I was playing OoA the other day, and I was walking through subrosia. I noticed the trees there are exactly the same as the ones in LttP's Dark World. Both of the worlds have a considerably darker atmosphere and look. You get to both worlds using portals...so is this enough proof to show that the Subrosian's world is basically Holodrum's Dark World?

Subrosia is in OoS, not OoA. I guess in some sense, it is Holodrum's Dark World, but it's not an evil place. It's underground, so that would be the only reason to call it a Dark World.

I would say that Subrosia is Holodrum's underworld. And that's it.

i guss you could call it an underworld, but there probubly is a better name that i just cant think of at the current moment

Subrosia isn't the dark world. If anything, is like the Underdark from D&D, a giant underground world lived in by a species that no one seems to like. I think that sums it up well, no?

The better name would be

"Subrosia"

I've seen those trees too. I think that the Subrosian trees may have been formed to resemble the Golden Realm's trees as a kind of monument to their symbolism. I wrote on my site

"Garrulus Quercus: Talkative Oak Tree. The Garrulus Quercus, is inhabited by a forest spirit of a form and native to the Shadow Realm[/Golden Realm] of Hyrule. The appearance of the tree is somewhat like the trees of Subrosia, and the spirits may have woven the Subrosian trees to this liking of their home-world[(The trees appear to take the shape of an Octorok, with the elongated mouth/nose and dark round eyes)]. They are [generally] known to be quite grouchy[but this is just a guess. I have theorized that the mood possibly is related to the spiritual flow of the Golden Realm, which often determines whether the alternate reality is 'Dark' or Golden']"

P.S i made up the name Garrulus Quercus from latin. It means talkative tree or something. I can't quite remember. Pretty cool name though eh?

Subrosia is underground. It's not in a parallel realm, and has nothing to do with gods or any higher beings (at least as far as we know).

If Ganon had been trapped in the Dark World that was underground, I think he couldve escaped...

nice avatar dark_link! Anyway OF COURSE IT ISN'T it is underground didn't you see the Temple of Seasons sink? They probably got lazy and used the same sprites as ALTTP.

It IS the underground. The Temple of Seasons is sinking INTO Subrosia.

I understand that it's simply underground, and Sabooru's idea seemes like the best bet. Since there is no golden realm in holodrum, I was saying that this is basically the equivalent.

subrosia is just underground so i always thought that they didn't get any sunlight, and all they got was lava instead of water...

Subrosia is not the Dark World. The Dark World was created when Ganon received the triforce. The triforce is in Hyrule castle during OoA/A and Link was the last person to see it!!! Link doesn't want a world of lava and ash; that is prooved in ALttP at the end.

Well Subrosia is pretty dark, but... I don't think it's the Dark World.

It's not dark, so it's not a "dark world". It's more like a underworld.

Subrosia is the land underneath Holodrum, it can't be the dark world, since the monsters there don't treat you to dance lessons lol .
Also, Hyrule is acompletely different dimension to Holodrum, so I doubt that dark world would apply there!
