Hero's Secret... what is it good for?

I've just beaten OoS in linked mode, and I got a secret called Hero's Secret. I used it on a new OoA file, and now I see a Triforce on that file when I highlight it. I played a bit, and it seems like it isn't a linked game this time, because no one recognizes Link from OoS. Now, what does this mean, and what are the changes this time? What is this good for?

If I'm correct, this is called a Return-Linked game. You play OoA all over again, and you start with four hearts instead of three. You also get a special ring to start with. This is the

When you have completed OoA again, you will get

yet another password to play OoS again!

Aren't these games cool?

So there's no way I can get those secret items (Mirror Shield, Master Sword, etc) in this file? If it's just about having a new ring and an extra heart, it's not worth it.

Yep, the Oracle games are really cool.

That was a rhetorical question. They are cool, but can be a bit annoying with all the passwords and junk. But, no, you don't get the Mirror Shield or any of that in the game. If you finish OoA and then play OoS a second time, you will get those items again.

I actually haven't gotten them before. It's annoying, I don't know how to do it. It seems to be very complicated and usually requires me to beat both games more than once, which takes too much time for me.

Ah, I thought that was what it was. I didn't want to post, becuase I wasn't 100% sure. x_x

The bonus items are pretty cool, but I only really cared about the Lv. 3 Sword, Mirror Shield, and Biggoron's Sword. And of course, fighting
