2D art in gbc games

I just love the art used in LA,OoA and OoS! I think they should use that in alot more games, besides the art was really usefull because you couldn't really know what Nayru looked like for example, without seeing the cutscene in the beginning of OoA. It would have been really cool if they used the same kind of art in tMC but then in 16 bit, cause i didn't really like the stained glass type of art.

I liked the graphics in tMC, I think they did a good job with the styles they used, the colors and art really made the game stand out, not to mention it was just good all together.

Now that I think about it, I actually like it when they did the mid game art. They should use it in future 2D Zelda games.

The 2D art in the game was absolutely fantastic (in my opinion). It helped with the understanding of what everything looked like.

I like the Oracle Link artwork. That is my favorite, but it wouldn't look good in a 3D game.

I really like the graphics of TMC, its much more detailed and animated than the older gameboy color Zeldas, and I like that "stained-glass" feel it has.

But the ALTTP graphics were pretty good too.

I can't even decide which art style I like best, they all have thier great points. The Soul Calibur 2 art for Link was beutiful. Yet this new Zelda coming out may become my favorite.

Re: 2D art in gbc games

I thought the Oracle art work was horribly boring and generic looking, I'm glad they changed their style to the stained glass themed art of tMC.

Yeah, but since there were those cutscenes, I couldn't imagine how the characters looked like anyway. So I prefer tMC graphics 'cause you can always see how they look like.

Re: 2D art in gbc games

Me like the animation in the end of link's awakening.
it gives more life.
Also, I think it was good in the oracle series to have pictures to. to see how the characters looked like.
the minish cap, is good to.
