FS for GBA on GC?

I have a question for you all. Let's say i buy the GB player for Gamecube. Can I buy ALttP/FS for that player so I can play that FS game without the GBA and the link cable. Can I just use four controllers or something? That be cool. Is that possible?

Simple Answer Here:
No

You need 2-4 seperate systems to play.

You don't need any GBA's if you have a Game Boy Player, but you do need the cable.

Yes I know the feeling my friend. It's that game (because of the GBAs) and tMC (because of $moolah$) that's holding me back from playing all Zelda games (excluding the CD-I games and Game & Watch ones).

Are you sure about that? Now I don't own a Gameboy Player but if you've tried it and it worked, then that's great. But I do know that in the game there are certain things that are required for at least 2 people (such as bosses). I wonder how this could be played out.

If you have the GB player, then one person can use the TV screen - the others have to use GBAs.

Re: FS for GBA on GC?

It's really not good enough. They should have made allowances for the GBplayer to take advantage of the GC's extra power, making it able to do thinks like emulate 4 GBAs for playing FS.

No, they don't. What I meant is that if you have each person have their own GB Player, Game Pak, Gamecube, and TV, then you can link them together and play.

No you can't. It specificly says in the GBP instruction manuel that multiple GBPs CANNOT be hooked together.
I played four swords on my GBP but my friends had to use their gameboys.

Re: FS for GBA on GC?

I've played FS on regular Gameboy Advances and on the Gameboy Player, and this is how it works:

Gameboy Advance
-Minimum 2 players, maximum of 4 players.
-Requirements: one (1) Gameboy Advance per player, one (1) Gamelink Cable for two players, two (2) Gamelink Cables for three players, three (3) Gamelink Cables for four players, one (1) The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past with Four Swords game per player.
-One can NEVER play solo.

Gameboy Player
-Minimum 2 players, maximum 4.
-Requirements: one (1) Gameboy Player with TV, one (1) Gameboy Advance per each additional player, Gamelink Cable requirement listed above, one (1) The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past with Four Swords game per player.
-Hookup: The Gameboy Player with game is attatched to a Gameboy Advance via a cable, and the GBA is hooked to all other GBAs, if applicable.
-One may NEVER play solo, despite having 4 controller sockets.

I did that with my friend and someone told me if you have to tvs in your
room and if you have a Gameboy player and your friend has one and if
you have a game cube and if you do link them all to gather like
link the to game boy players to gather and put
the fs game in there and turn it on and you
can play it Is it true
