Who else thinks Link's Awakening has the best story in the series?

OK, for me, when it comes to engaging plot, no other game in the series drew me in likes Link's old GB outing. I fondly remember spending three solid weeks hunched over 'the brick' playing this thing, and the way the story was told was.... great. The bits with Malon, how halfway through the game you find out the truth about the Wind Fish, how the bosses in levels five though eight tell you if you wake up the thing, you're screwed, and the ending.... The ending had me debating with myself if I had done the right thing by finishing off the Nightmare.

Anyone else feel the same way?

Or perhaps it was not a dream at all. Perhaps when Link was asleep, he was actually saving a world in the future/past. And perhaps if he hadn't awoken the Wind Fish, a greater evil would've arisen.

Wow that stuff is tricky...Yeah,I suppose that he might have,but how could he do that in his sleep....?

Link's Awakening has the best atmosphere and story in the series, in my opinion. I also think that, if it hadn't been limited by the hardware, it would have had the best music as well.

Yes,It was very touching...Especially the bit in the shore with Marin...Though it would have been INFINETELY more touching if Marin hadnt been calling thief all the time...

While I haven't finished the game, from what I've seen so far It has a great story with cool,new characters. Not the best story in my opinion that goes to Wind Waker for me, it was still a great game.

Well, that's what you get for stealing from the shop.

I thought it was funny that she called him 'Thief'. Pet names seldom get more original.

I doubt you didnt steal from the shop at least ONCE in the game,you sad little cucco.(didnt mean to flame,and is sorry if you took offense).

Nope. Never stole anything, and I've replayed the game, I dunno, five or six times.

I just didn't wanna be stuck with the name 'Thief'. Besides, by the time I absolutely need the bow, I usually had enough dough anyway.

Yeah it was kind of annoying being called "THIEF" for the rest of the game.

I don´t think the story is the best, I like The wind waker story the most!

Wind Waker desrves credit for making allusions to a previous story arc, that's for sure.

I liked LA a lot. One of my favorites. I think that all who are dreaming around the Wind Fish get put into the dream of the Wind Fish. Otherwise, Link would have perished at the end.

how did the game end?chances are Ill never get the game so I wanted to know

Uhh....You can read about that at gamefaqs.com .I think youl find it there.Otherwise,dont.Its much more magical if you watch it first hand.

Totally agree on that. And get the DX version, it's way better.

I whole-heartedly agree.For one, it's in color, and there's a special place tat exists only in the DX version.LA was the most touching Zelda game I have ever played(Well,one of the,at least...)
