A question about The Minish Cap

(this isn't a help question, or else I'd be putting it into the help thread)

I was wondering, why, in the end of The Minish Cap, does it not let you walk around in Hyrule that's been turned back to normal by Zelda? It asks you to save at the end, and I did, but I started out back at Dark Hyrule Castle. I guess it's just like in OOT, but it's kinda sad, since you don't get to walk around in a nice, peacful Hyrule ever again Oh well...

The only games you can do that with are the two Oracles, un-passworded.

I don't really mind it...

Re: A question about The Minish Cap

It is kind of annoying, I really looked forward to seeing a peaceful Hyrule in OoT when I first finished. Strange that the Minish Cap asks you to save though, none of the others do (except WW, but that starts a new game).

OOT was one I wanted to see peaceful again. I also wanted to in MM, but that wouldn't really be possible...

Re: A question about The Minish Cap

That's not necessarily true... You could have the MM world at peace, with each character you helped or didn't help in the timeline reacting accordingly. Also, if you wanted to change the past, you could play the Song of Time like usual. The only problems I can see are that you wouldn't be able to use the Song of Double Time or the Song of Slow Time (or whatever they were called, I can't remember) after you beat Majora.

Yes, I think they did that because the story isn't complete. There's still an even higher evil afoot (Twinrova and Ganon). Once you've beaten the other game and those two bosses, it would be just like all the other Zelda games. I guess having a game "not at peace" just makes it so you could replay the "Epic" last battle with the villain again, and again (and that gets old...fast).

What I think they should do is this (got the idea from LA). If you play the game without dieing once, you'll get to see a peacefull Hyrule (or whatever land you are on), and see how everyone's lives have changed because of you, play more mini-games and possibly new sidequests. All of that could be yours, if you play the game "perfectly".

Re: A question about The Minish Cap

They don't restore the world to normal because you may want to beat the boss again. By saving after you beat the game, you don't have to go through the entire dungeon if you want to fight the final guy.

Re: A question about The Minish Cap

^ good point. I enjoyed beating the last boss(just beat Minish Cap today). Though I still wanted to go through Hyrule after you've saved it. Perhaps that will happen in the next Zelda game.

Post Vaati was easy and now that happened

You've said that well yes when you face Vaati's 3 forms and beat them presto!you are told to save the game
As always on most games you appear back in the place before the boss its just pointless

Re: A question about The Minish Cap

I like the game not being peasceful. If it was, you wouldn't be able to beat anymore enimes, and the whole thing would be usless. In OoT I still like warping going to the Desert Colosus, putting on a red tunic, hover boots, mirror sheild, and biggoron sword to just kill enimes all day. I can spend hours there. I especilly love sniping the birds w/ ice arrows since there is magic and arrows intside the teple entance.

Re: A question about The Minish Cap

There is a purpose for saving at the end of TMC. There are like 6 extra figurines to collect as well as a mirror sheild to obtain, but only after you've killed Vaati and saved the file.

Also Vaati impressed me quite a bit after all of those way too easy bosses. Sadly, now that I know exactly how to kill him, he's... way too easy. Damn! I want a boss that's difficult regardless of whether or not you know how to go about it killing it.

I suggest playing the GC version first... if you can handle the wait.
Why do you want your first experience with TP to be a mirrored one?
The GC version is superior overall - admit it.

Re: A question about The Minish Cap

So you are saying that after you beat TMC, you cannot ever enter Hyrule Castle?

Dang it. I liked entering Hyrule Castle...
