How do I complete the Spirit Temple first, in OOT3D? (Master Quest)

There's a secret to fighting dark Link..He has the same amount of health you have, everytime you face him. The same hearts. So I spent most of the game getting all the heart containers, and I just beat the Forest Temple. I have the Hookshot, and the bow..My goal is to do all the other bosses, and get the heart containers that they have, and by then I'll have almost 20 or so hearts, which will make Dark Link even more challenging (Which I'm trying to do, because I love fighting him).


But I'm in the main room of the Spirit Temple as an adult (I finished the child portion), and there's a grappling panel in the ceiling, but I can't get to it with the hookshot. I even tried jumping onto of some treasure chests in the area, and I can't do it..

So are there any glitches I can use?

There's one glitch I know..Turn the joystick slightly backwards, and it'll make Link spin. Then, pull out a bomb and start mashing the L button. And when the bomb explodes, hold down the L button..And it'll make you slide across any surface..

That's how I got past the river of sand.

I can do whatever you have to offer. The Master Quest is..Very easy. I've never played it before, but I've been playing OOT for years and years. I guess it comes with experience..

^ There are a lot of areas in the Spirit Temple that you just can't get to without the Longshot. I don't know much about glitches...

I've always done the temples in the proper way.

Note to other Z mods: I will not be merging this into the official help forum since it's leaning a bit on the "glitch" side of things, so I'll leave this thread on it's own.

I don't know of any way you can continue without the Longshot. I would just suggest taking your Biggoron Sword or Din's Fire (or the Master Sword if you want a challenge) and go beat him. As far as the health thing goes, just get every piece of heart that you can possibly get right now if you want him to have a lot of health.

Wait, if you're doing the Master Quest, you can get the Longshot without fighting Dark Link. It's in the room halfway up from where you meet Ruto.

If you want to have a lot of hearts (more than 20), go on the heart-pounding gravedigging tour. Dampe will dig not just one heart piece, but as many as you want.

You can get up to 29 and 3/4 heart containers without messing up your game. Getting a thirtieth heart container will screw you up when you try to go somewhere else or to open any of the sub-screens.

If you wanna do it with no glitches well i don't think is posible unless you get the iron boots in ice cavern and get the longshot in the water temple and leave.If you want to use glitches well i can't help you much with that.

I don't know much about glitches, as I've always done it the proper way...I'd youtube or google it.

Well as it has already been said in MQ you get the longshot right after you find Ruto so that shouldn't be a problem. But you also won't be able to be the shadow temple...
