Want to revive Minish Cap?

Nobody ever really talks about Minsh Cap anymore, and even though that game is past its prime, I hope that someday Nintendo will be nice enough to revive it. Be it in 3d, 2d, or whatever other d's there are. So this thread would basicly be about the aspects that they could add on to Minish Cap. Also this thread could be about the aspects that you would want them to get rid of. I'll be interested to see what you come up with...

Re: Want to revive Minish Cap?

I liked minish cap, and i thought there is not much i would want to change. I would like to know how to get mirror shield because i never found it in MC.

I don't want to see a MC remake just yet but i would like to see some more bird's eye view style zelda game. However with the creation of the 3DS i don't think we will see a game like this in an original game. This is because if the 3DS can play a upgraded version of OoT, there will be many other new great zelda games on the go.

They probably will for one of the Nintendo handheld. They are remaking Four Swords so why not Minish Cap?

Minish Cap was really good for a 2D game, but I think it would be a little lacking for a full console title.

I honestly think the opposite. Even for a 2D game, I really didn't find it challenging at all. Vaati did make a good villain (I'll give the game that much), but the game was very easy.

Now as for a full console title, of course it would need more dungeons. Just imagine playing tMC in tWW graphics. And in a full 3D console title, just imagine the adventures you could have while being small. Of course the "Minish Portals" would have to be expertly placed (even more so than what we saw in the 2D game), but I'd think more things could have happened in a full 3D game. Like what?
-Link could fly on the back of the bird he summons using the ocarina
-There could be more sections of the game featuring deathly sequences when you're small. I only recall 1 cat in Hyrule Town and 1 rain sequence in tMC. Now imagine a whole 3D world at your disposal. You'd feel defenseless as a Minish-Link. The weather can be your blessing and your curse.
-Link's Gust Jar could have been used somewhat like Mario's F.L.U.D.D. pack from Mario Sunshine.

Re: Want to revive Minish Cap?

No, no, I don't think that Minish Cap should be revised, it is a good game and it is really unique for its style and story line.
Their isn't nothing that should be added on or anything like that. Not every single Zelda needs to be redone.

Minish Cap is too recent to really need revision, it came out 6 years ago and it still looks great today. Not every game needs to be revised for content, but if you like new content perhaps you should take part in one of the many Zelda emulation projects going on.

What I was saying was that it's so casual. You know, it's the kind of thing you pick up and play over a vacation, or something. Maybe not all the way through, but still.

I honestly didn't like the MC all that much, though as said earlier, Vaati was challenging. I don't think it should be revived, but it was certainly unique.

Re: Want to revive Minish Cap?

I liked MC a lot, but I don't think it should be revised. Besides, it's still fairly new compared to other Zelda games, and the graphics are just fine. I really like how characters and areas were presented in MC.
I think, even of it were revised into a 3D games (console or handheld), I'd still prefer the original. I can't really imagine it in 3D without it losing that 2D charm.

Re: Want to revive Minish Cap?

Minish Cap's graphical style is one-of-a-kind,as far as single player adventures go, and I'd rather not see it changed. It's a beautiful game.

One issue with reviving it is that its many sword moves would be difficult to recreate with a touch screen.

Re: Want to revive Minish Cap?

It's a shame. I can't really remember that much from it. I can remember everything from the other zelda games, but MC.... I just can't seem to remember it that well. Now I'm sure that if I replay it, it'll be great once again.

Re: Want to revive Minish Cap?

I love that game, but I think being in 3D would ruin it. Espesially since he'd probably look like a Wind Waker Link clone in 3D, and I've had enough of toon Link DX
I would love for it to be revived, but I don't see a way to do that without murdering the game. Therefore, it's best to leave it as is.

Re: Want to revive Minish Cap?

It can be revived if Nintendo decides to put it on the 3DS VC.

TMC was my first Zelda and it's still one of my favorites. It's the best styled of all 2D games, and I think a 3D transition could ruin its magical look.
