Oh... right. Sorry I was wrong in my above post. You're right with that one.

On another hand, this means that those walkthroughs were wrong.
That is, unless the order changed from the gamecube version to the 3DS version. Did it?
The order in the Gamecube version is the same as the original because the entire game isn't flipped.

Have you tried checking out any online walkthroughs and seeing if their order works?

Re: Official Handheld Zelda Help Thread

Hey-o everyone. I've been on a major Zelda kick since around the time Skyward Sword came out, and I've been trying to complete each game that I've been going through if I haven't completed them before in the past. I'm up to Phantom Hourglass now, and I'm at the very end of the game, but I'm having one major problem.

I'm down to one ship part remaining, a Golden Bridge, and I cannot for the life of me find one. I've been playing this game for the past two days tracking down the last of the missing ship parts, and all day today I have been playing this game, trying to get this last missing part.

So what I'm basically trying to get at is, is anyone willing to help me out by doing a trade? I'd love to say I've "completed" this game so I will never have to consider doing something like this again, and I would be eternally grateful if someone were willing to help me out. I've got a ton of duplicate items from rare sets from doing the TotOK over and over, so you name it, and I've more than likely got it.

Re: Official Handheld Zelda Help Thread

I'm afraid I couldn't help you with a trade. (The wireless play on my DS Lite never did work properly.) I do have a tip for you, although it might take you some time. I collected all my golden parts in two ways: by playing the archery game on Molida Island and getting over 2000 points and by going through the Temple of the Ocean King many, many times.

At the very end there are two treasure chests that appear, but it does not happen the first time that you reach the end; you have to go down there again. After you kill those three sets of Phantoms in B13, the door opens and you can go into the room with the water, the bridge, the torches, and the long staircase that leads to Bellum. As soon as you enter that room, two chests appear. The ship parts inside are random, but they are sometimes golden pieces.

If you want to ask me more about this, VM me.

Re: Official Handheld Zelda Help Thread

Yeah, that's what I've been doing. The archery game is a little too reliant on chains for my tastes, though, and I get burned out from going through TotOK over and over again.

I'd rather just get a trade and have it done and over with. I've already gotten all of the other parts the hard way, and playing this game of chance has gotten really stale.

I could never do very well at the target practice minigame in OoA.
It would take many hours of hard work to get a good prize.

Do any of you have any pointers?

Sadly, no, Gummy. All I can say is to always go for the blue gargoyles, regardless of whatever else is there, since the blue gargoyles give off a ton of points that make up for the red blocks. Oh yeah, and just a find a way to not hit the purple gargoyles. It's tough, but I can't really offer you pointers.

Now, when you do with the Biggoron Sword, on the other hand...

That is a pro weapon indeed.
I know the rules, but I always assumed there was an easier way to direct it.

Question: Do you always face forward to hit the ball, and/or stand directly in the middle? Because you'll need to get out of those habits if you do.

No.
I know how to direct it, but it takes ages to get it right enough to be able to win a prize.

I see. Then I guess the best advice I could give is to memorize where to stand and when to swing in order to hit which combinations of blocks. It's all twitch reflexes, really.

Re: Official Handheld Zelda Help Thread

^I read somewhere that Golden Ship Parts only appear in Masked Ship Shops, and only when one makes another four Big Plays! in multiplayer mode. However, I think I have two or three Golden Ship parts, and I don't think I have even made four Big Plays! total, so I don't think that thing is true.

They do tend to appear whenever I find a Masked Ship Shop, however. Which I think is random?

Re: Official Handheld Zelda Help Thread

I had a trick for that.
He only appears for a week or something, look for the exact times.
All you have to do is buy a part from him, restart your DS and reset the date, and repeat!
I got them all in no time!

Re: Official Handheld Zelda Help Thread

Pretty sure the Masked Ship sells the same thing as regular Beedle shops, since its based on time of day.

I've heard about the Big Plays yielding golden ship parts but I haven't gotten a single one of them. I think the easiest way to do that would be to play with a friend and just purposefully let the other get the Big Plays. Course that brings me back to needing someone to assist me in pulling that off.

Angry Ocarina of Time 3DS- PLEASE HELP!

Okay, so I just created an account to get help with something....I'm like dying here...if anyone could help I would appreciate it so much!

It's silly, but I can't figure out how to use my hookshot.

It's equipped, I'm aiming and seeing the second red circle, I use it, and it just bounces off of EVERY wood surface. I just got it, so I'm still in the village, trying to get on top of the roof to talk to the guy...

Why won't it work?! I've never had a problem like this before.

uhh...That's really weird. You sure you're aiming at the right stuff? Only other thing I can think of is maybe you have a bugged game?

Re: Official Handheld Zelda Help Thread

Well, it gets the second red circle like it is the correct thing.

I guess I could try in a different area, but it wouldn't have the circle if it wasn't the right type would it?

It's so frustrating! I hope there's nothing wrong with my game.

Re: Official Handheld Zelda Help Thread

Yeah, if the circle doesn't pop up then you can't hook onto it.

You should probably record it so we'll know exactly what the problem is.
