ZeldaZealot hope many of you know that both Oracle of Ages and Seasons(AKA OoX) and Minish Cap(AKA MC) were created by Flagship and Capcom, and not by Nintendo EAD, which is the usually developer team that makes the Zelda Series.
Nor was their designer Shigeru Miyamoto(who cares about gameplay), Takashi Tezuka(no idea what he cares about) or Eiji Aonuma(who cares about the storyline and connecting the games together). Tho the designer(s) of OoX, and maybe MC as well, did get some help from Miyamoto, Miyamoto was mainly working on something else at the time. If we play them we will notice that they have very little to no connection to any other games, and that they are riddled with enough cameos to make your eyes bleed tears of acid. So should we consider these games that were not created by the usually developer team, or designer(s), that have little to no connection to other games with their vagueness that is riddled with cameos canon? |

Re: Should OoX and MC be considered Canon?
Um, dude, Nintendo EAD supervised Capcom during development. They aren't like the CD-i games where Philips did it without Nintendo involvement whatsoever. So hell yeah they're canon.

Re: Should OoX and MC be considered Canon?
I wish I could choose "Yes, they should be considered canon" and "ZeldaZealot doesn't know what he's talking about."
And like Triforce of the Gods said, Nintendo EAD supervised Capcom. ![]()

Re: Should OoX and MC be considered Canon?
Actually Four Sword was developed jointly by Nintendo R&D2 and Flagship, and tho Nintendo R&D2 is not the usual team that makes Zelda game it is still a part of Nintendo where Capcom and Flagship are not. Nintendo R&D2 seem to have been fused with Nintendo EAD at least by 2004.
