Gear: Switchaxe/Hammer
Preferred weapon: tough break/ rath hammer.
Method: Going for a good damage/time in combat ratio, rolling to dodge incoming hits. Trap-bombing whenever possible.

I also can gun if we don't have another gunner. I have an explosives-focused ammo set.

I'm pretty much terrible at anything but lances and hammers (longswords are for noobs, so of course I'm good at using those. They take no skill. ), and I'm especially terrible at gunning. It'd be great if you could gun.

Perhaps you could work on a status-inflicting set so we could sleepbomb if we needed to. I could help you get it set up.

I may have a low Hunter Rank but I assure you it's not indicative of my skill. I'm HR9 on MHFU with all 3 G-Rank Fatalis quests completed. The only thing to hold me back is either going to be my gear, or unfamiliarity with monsters. Since MH3 has pretty much a whole new list of things to hunt. Buuut I'm quick to adapt so it's really just my gear holding me back

I can fire two sleep shot lvl 1 per reload if that helps, and I can use lvl1 heal and armour shot, as well as rapid crag lvl 1.

My normal gun is aquamatic needler barrel and stock, with agnablaster frame. It's a ♥♥♥♥ing awesome gun . The only problem is that my best gunner armour is lower tier rathian, cos I don't have the time to hunt for lagia/rathalos plate for a higher level set. It's pretty good, with earplug and health upgrades, and I've gemmed in stealth to make it more likely that the monster will be attacking you guys instead of me!

@Red: No worries, as long as you're familiar with the basics you've basically gotten all Monster Hunter games down pat. It's pretty easy to adapt to MH3 monsters as well, other than maybe Barioth, Jhen Mohran, and Diablos since they're pretty tricky. Barioth's super-sonic and Diablos is unpredictable since he burrows under the ground and pops up right under a random player.

@Blak: It's cool. And you've got Crag, so that's awesome! You should try to get a clust set. Just search some recommended bowgun sets once you get to HR40+.

Should we start our first meetup soon? I have a lot of time. You guys just tell what days are open so we can come to a day/time.

HR is something like 14, could be a little higher, but definitely under 20.
Weapon of choice is either the Switchaxe, or the Longsword, also use Sword & Shield every now and then.

When it comes to armor, I usually use either a Lagiacrus set, or Rathian (♥♥♥♥ improves my health, I like my health being improved.) I don't really have a set technique or whatever, I improvise a lot, sometimes works, sometimes doesn't.

@Cow: Alright, you have the right idea armor-wise. Lagiacrus armor is the best all-purpose set you can get before Vangis. It's alright for techniques, because the weapons you specified don't really have any techniques. Those have pretty straightforward attacking.

@Blak: I'm actually in Summer vacation right now, so I'm open 24/7. It's whatever you guys decide (especially you, since you're still in school), because I'm wide open for a while now.
