well here is my writing process also write your own process

first you think what your gonna write this stage is called prewrite

second you just write your story donnt check just write it this stage is called draft

third you revise your story you can replace the words or make it more intersting

and last but not least the editprocess this part is easy

and this is the simplest writing process

Here's mine:

1. Start with an awesome title and build. Background music is a must for mood-setting
2. Write away and let it flow out like watching a movie you've never seen but want to
3. Expand and experiment until a loose skeleton and general pathing begins to appear
4. Re-read and edit for continuity checks and to root out new ideas
5. Write to the end and repeat steps 3 and 4 if necessary
6. Final edit
7. Publish!

I know, a little strange and chaotic, but my writing, for some reason, is vastly improved if I don't plan too much. It's almost random, the way things spill out of my cranium, but the results can't be denied. I have become a little more attune to the planning portion, as you have to have some organization when writing a full-length piece, but still try to keep it fresh and new on each and every page.

I suppose everyone just needs to find the style that best suits their personality and experience.

I tend not to have much structure. As the magnet on my fridge says, "I refuse to organize my life, it would interfere with the creative process." So I tend to not have much organization when writing my stories except that I always write each chapter in order. I don't jump around to different parts of the story. I form all the events and ideas in my head and then I write it all out. I could actually really benefit from using a little structure but I always lose motivation to actually do so. If I were to use any process it would be Jim Butcher's, author of the Dresden Files. I feel that his basic structure for the writing process can be used and adjusted for all styles and each person's needs. I get an idea think about it for a while, if its good right down the basic plot and all, then rewrite adding detail until I feel it is done.

Hmm, my procedure can be messy at times. When it comes to my fanfic, I write up, make a few edits then post the next chapter. However, currently I'm in the process of editing the first few chapters because I'm "wiser" than I was when I first wrote them up. At the same time I'm writing up the newest chapter so I kinda switch between re-writing old chapters and making new ones.

Well, I usually start by getting inspired by a movie, book, or what-have-you. After that I get a couple-few key events of the story figured out, then just write it. Mainly, the pre-decided plot events are like check points; I work the story from one to the next, sometimes making hints about the upcoming "check points" as each part progresses. Obviously the old plot events aren't forgotten, but I like to keep the story moving. To sum things up: I make it up as I go.
Anyway, after I've written each chapter, I run it through a spell check, then look over it myself to proofread.

I can say that I've never finished a story. Unless it was for school which (to me) doesn't count. But hey, I'm working on that.

It's the writing part of the writing process that varies between people. Everyone gets ideas and writes them differently, starting at the end, beginning, or whatever. Some stories start around charas, others worlds...you get the idea. Things like prewrites, outlines, and such only help to organize and keep track of the various events one wants to write. While the process remains the same, everyone goes about it differently.

As for me? I like to start with prewrites even when I do have a clear picture in my head of what I want to do. Sometimes ideas come in words, phrases, pictures, and even smells. Once I complete a certain idea, I get it edited by different people a couple of times, just to solidify and perfect it. I only work in a linear pattern when I'm working within a chapter, but I've written chapters out of order before. When I work on a particularly long project, I keep outlines of where it is I want to go, just in case I ever get stuck, though I don't always follow them.

And I've also found that there are two kinds of editors. There are editors, and then there are readers. An editor will tell you spelling and grammar errors, what sentences make sense or the ones that are misleading, and all that other stuff people like to go over. A reader will tell you more of what made them laugh, the things they want to know about your character, what they predict will happen next, and a whole lot of other stuff. Both forms of editing are VERY valuable.

1. Think of a basic topic or premise you want to focus on.
2. If your having trouble with writers block, go over other works related to that idea for inspiration. For example, if you want to write a fantasy book, you should read and watch other fantasy materiel to help you think up things. Keep a list of the things you liked or didn't like in those sources.
3. start writing.
4. edit what you wrote, and try to come up with a list of things that you could add or take away to make it better.
5. If necessary, have someone else read your work (preferably someone unbiased toward you, so don't have a parent or the like do it) and see what they think could be improved upon.
6. Re-edit.
7. Publish.
