Anyone who would like to be a member of the Writer's Corner Council, please let me know here. Before entering your name for consideration though, there are some things to know about this position:
1. You must be an active author on
ZU. This means that you have either A. a collection of works that are completed and/or B. you have a work in-progress that you update with some consistency on
ZU.
2. I am looking for four to six council members, myself included. Three positions have already been filled. Each council member will have an officer rank. What this signifies is the chain of command. For example, my officer rank is one. If I go absent for an amount of time yet to be determined (I'm thinking a month though), then the officer with rank two is given command of the group.
If both one and two are absent, then rank three takes over. I have talked with Forum Moderator Holly (now Gold) about this, and she says that she will help in this transfer of power from one officer to the next if it needs to happen. This way, the group can remain active and moderated if something happens to the current group overseer.
So, what does this mean for Council members? Well, it means that you must be willing to commit to this group and possibly run it, in the case of absence of one or more other Council members. To do this, I need people who are dedicated to writing, can show responsibility and leadership skills, and are active members of
ZU.
3. Another responsibility of Council members will be to essentially moderate this group, and make sure that all members are following the rules I have set forth. For now, the rules can be viewed in the discussion "Prepare for Glory!" though I hope to soon redo the group description and incorporate them into there.
Any who wish to announce their candidacy for a Council member, please be sure that you are capable of performing these responsibilities. I will review the candidates and select the officers of this group accordingly.
