There is a couple of reasons for the post limit, most of which is for all the other Sages. I don't really like it either, but if we don't have some kind of ceiling then if somebody misses a day or two they have to read through 10 pages of posts, and who wants to do that? Plus it cuts down on spam, as then Sages only post things that are of value to both their character and the story itself.
One way we are trying to ease the pain is having the two chronicles volumes and the side questing thread so you can do more in the group. I know it's not as good, especially when you have a great idea, but hey, it's something.
Also, we have changed the rules a bit, at least for volume II. The three post rule isn't really a rule anymore, but more of a guideline. If you feel the urge, and there isn't too much other posting going on at the moment, you can go over the limit by a couple. But still, being courteous to your fellow Sages should be the number one priority, especially as our numbers swell.
Who knows? If we continue to garner active users, we might have to divvy up the group into two factions/clans to keep some sanity.
