I got one new album today, but listened to two for the first time.

The one I got was Shelter's Mantra. It is my first straight-up hardcore album I've bought, and I think it is pretty rad.

The one I listened to for the first time was Arab Strap's Monday at the Hug and Pint, which was totally different from what I was expecting. The singer is more Scottish than all of Franz Ferdinand combined, and the music is like...post-rock mixed with folk. Post-Folk? But there's still vocals, so not really.

I have three other albums that I have had for awhile but haven't listened to yet. I guess I'll say when I listen to them?

I did a big giant blind exchange with one of my buddies yesterday, where we swap music without telling each other what one another are getting. So I have a huge amount of new music to go through. Rather than list it all, I'll just list as I plan on listening.
