Actually, they're pretty much the same. Generally, the overly simply programs are the hardest to work with because they are more limited and therefore less useful. Things with more of the right options and more possibilities are usually easier to work with because of the fact that they are more useful. If that makes any sense.

I don't like DirectX.

What is DirectX? You're the first person I've heard mention it. And if you don't like it, why not swap to a different thing, like Java or Visual Basic?

DirectX is the SDK developers use to make multimedia applications.
It annoys me, because their is no tutorial on how to deal with 2D graphics, so I have to figure it all out by myself. I think I'm doing pretty good, but, meh.

Grr. I've gone back to playing with GameMaker. Now I'm working on an ice area for one of my little brother's games. And the stupid program can't count. Or, it might be that my little brother has created masses of unwanted objects again. Because I made a room with walls, floor and menu. Ended up being 236 objects. Then, I put a spike on each wall. Should have become 470 objects. What does it come up with? 910. So now I'm hunting for whatever useless objects he put in, and then trying to figure out which of my objects is creating extra objects and why. Stupid GameMaker. Oh, and I added a super fun screenshot of the area that's currently driving me crazy.

(So Ninny, make anything fun with DirectX yet?)

Oh, and I've made some progress with the DirectX. I got it all to compile! Yay, right? No. It came up with a compile-time error immediately, and now I hate it.

So, I took a break off of coding for life... I'm failing at both right now, hehe.

Oh, and on an unrelated note: Wow, they really screwed with our user groups... And I love it.

Wow...so what is it we do in here? I don't have to much experience with making games. I used this software that lets me make my own called X-realms. I posted a couple pictures. I'm not very good with scripting and stuff, but I've been told I can do mapping and designing the layout of things well.

Man, all my life I've wanted to make games, and to do that I need to learn coding and script. can someone teach me or show me a place that teaches me how to do this?
