Me, i'm a total supporter of L because i completely disagree with Kira's methods of judgment. Yes, Light has a good idea to rid the world or evil, but his method for doing so is evil in and of itself.

However, i realize L is wholly good, either. he is willing to use criminals lives to further the investigation, but overall I support L.

Maybe if Light was going to kill himself, then he would be more agreeable, but I prefer L. Besides, Light freaks the hell out of me sometimes.

Yeah that dude has some pretty epic mental break downs. I support L I suppose but in the anime I wanted Kira to win badly even though I knew there was no way he could.

I can't say either. L is my favourite character, but Light is a close second. I agree to some extent with Light's actions. In the deepest root of them, he has good intent. He was also able to back up his claim that he was the only one worthy of having that power. Every other Kira either used it agaist Light's ideals, or failed. Yes Light was eventualy trapped, but that was due to a copletly unbelievable guess by Near.
L on the other hand fought a mission against Kira, knowing that he would eventualy be killed. He knew why Kira was doing it, but simply had a dfferent set of morals. Also to be noted, the criminals he used/was going to use were on death row anyways, and were givin the oportunity to be set free if they were not killed.
Niether of them can be called evil IMO and I can't take either's side.

Because he was able to hold that power for so long. But not only that, he was able to cause changes in the world. Everyone else who had a note bumbled and either got cought or (in Misa's case) saved by Light. He was quite sytematic in those he chose to kill, and those he chose not to. He even managed to outsmart the world's greatest detective (no, not Batman). I'd say all that would back up claim pretty well.

That is very agreeable. To have the ability to hold on to the death note for so long and survive, without much more than a slight detection--by which he told people that he is Kira-- happening is very hard. I would like to have seen L and Light play a game of chess that is the actual game and not the battle of wits that went on for so long between them as L and Kira. That game would never end. . . .easily.

Well, if How to Read 13 is at all accurate, Light would probably win that chess game, since he is more intelligent, and he is superior in the art of using people as pawns. Just look at how he tricked Rem into killing herself as well as 2 other characters (won't spoil that much for anyone who doesn't know).
