I support neither. But both characters are deeply developed. I kinda like both. But L was probably the right one. But their main points are entirely different so they shouldn't be compared. For example, Light views were about good and evil, trying to clear the world from it. While L viewed it as right and wrong, seeing it wrong that people die because of Kira. But in the end, right and good have much common things in each other. Goes the same with wrong and evil.
