Nintendo Wallpapers

Ok, so I have two Nintendo Themed wallpapers and I wanted to know which one you guys thought was better.




I kind of like the Wind Waker one myself.

The first one is WAY better. Honestly. To me, the second is meh.

The seagull in the second one is hot.

Wind Waker looks more like a typical background. The water is stunning. (:
The first one has seemingly misshapen images strewn together, except if you notice the look of the individual images. It seems that they are all posing with similar "gestures." Focusing on the individuality of each image takes from the unity of the wallpaper, though. I also don't like the two largest images being placed on the right side, with smaller ones on the left. Samus and DK look odd to me.

I like the Windwaker one. The first one does seem a little...strewn-around. To me backgrounds like that just seem odd. The very first thing I see it Mario because he's so BIG, while everything else is smaller, it seems...unbalanced.

But I really like the second one.

The second one looks awful. There's way too much fuzzyness, it doesn't look like much was done to the picture other than water, and while the KoRL looks like he's part of the picture, Link looks slapped on. And it's too choppy. I don't know how you guys can like it. :/

Notice the source of lighting in the top right. =]

A small source of lighting put in. Whoop-dee-doo, Ender. There's more to making graphics than just lighting. In fact, that lighting doesn't even do much for the piece, it's so god awfully fuzzy.

I don't notice fuzz, it looks sort of like a glow, which is how it should look. It is sunlight.

I like the second one better. The first one has too much imbalance for me.

What do you mean by imbalance?

I like the second one better because it looks less tacky. While the background is really, really nice in the first one, it doesn't quite fit. And the images are merged with it somewhat well, I guess, but there's no continuity, and it just seems like they were placed with no real rhyme or reason. It seems like it would have made a better signature type image than a wallpaper. Pictures that are edited as a whole seem to work better.

Well, whatever it is, I think there's too much. I also loathe the choppiness of that second piece. The first one is smooth as smooth can be, which is how it should be.

For some reason, the first one isn't showing up for me. I'll check back for it later.

The Wind Waker one is really nice, though. The glow behind the sail at first looked a little choppy, but after I looked at it for a while it blended in naturally. The image itself it pretty smooth - I don't know why Ranil is claiming it's choppy. :P

Well, I made the goddamn second one and I don't see any freakin choppy crap. >_>

This was a little competition between Alex and I to see who could make a better wallpaper. I can see he's winning by a hefty amount.

I think it was funner without the public knowing who made what and what the story behind it was.

Well, I think the winner is obvious. Seemed to me like it didn't really matter anymore.

Yeah, Andy totally pwned your ass. Haha. Yours was better but his was good too, I think Andy should have been a bit more creative. It looks as if he just posted a background and just slapped random characters on there.
