It's a bit too bland for my taste....and sing looks like it was just randomly put there and it really doesn't go well with the image.

I rather like it, just throw in some pretty colors and I'll love it.

Needs more colors and the right side is empty (maybe shorten the width or something).

I see what you both mean by it being a little bland. Actually it was very colorful before I put the Black/White gradient map on it. It was too colorful thats why I tried toning it down some. I'll add some more color in and see what you all think.

Edit:

Lowered the opacity on the gradient and took out the text.

Happy Mask: Much better.

First request at my sig shop. Leave no flaw unnoticed.

Lacking in flow too.

Get rid of the lens flare looking whatsits.
Decent otherwise. Just feel's very bland D:
Generally I don't have my render/focals taking up much more than 1/3 of the sig. That way I have room to create flow and utilize effects that look good.

Re: Signature/Small Work Showcase [V.III]: Photoshop Pterodactyl

I personally think that the lighting should come from someplace other than his neck. You misspelled "Argorok" but oh well. The text is a little blurry for my tastes.

Rip it to shreds like wild dogs.

Re: Signature/Small Work Showcase [V.III]: Photoshop Pterodactyl

Oh darn I always mis-spell stuff... oh well.

Your sig is okay. I think the text sticks out to much. Theres really no black in the signature, so the text sticks out. A good way to make text, and make all the color, look better is gradient maps...
But the render blends nicely, except for the little white at the bottom, and has nice effects.

Really nice effects. Did you use a pre made render or render it your self?

What do you guys think of this piece? My 2nd Photoshop work.

Re: Signature/Small Work Showcase [V.III]: Photoshop Pterodactyl

Not bad for a 2nd attempt. Well, imo, anyways.

I'm assuming you used Motion Blur? Haha, I did that one a whole lot when I first started out on Photoshop. It needs a border though, I think. I don't have Photoshop available, so I don't remember the steps to getting one, but it's pretty basic. You'll learn.

Also, you should maybe change the color of the Inner Shadow? That's what you used right?

Altogether, not bad for a 2nd piece, like I said.

The text is poor too. The font is practically unreadable, and the colour is poor. It's not placed well too. Google the Rule of Thirds, and make it your new God. Central render placement is bad too, now I think about it. :<
