Yes it does. You don't define what looks good, they are my costumers. :3 I'll work with what they give me to make it look the best as possible. Sometimes its a challenge.

Done I don't see what is so wrong about my sig anyways, I know 2 stocks are bad, but what am I supposed to do, make 2 sigs for the poor requester? Sometimes you have to step out of your bounds.

I've been getting people referencing me all over smashboards, because I'm good at making exactly what they imagine up. When I make something, and I know it's what they asked for, sure it's not artistically correct with a focal point and correct blending etc., but it makes them happy. That is what sigs are about.

Now, to make sure this doesn't turn into a feud like it has been between you and Yamari, I will say that I know my sigs aren't spectacular. Maybe I learned that I should only post sigs made for myself, or I will have to tweak requested sigs to meet the artistic standards of this thread. And I'm ok with that. If it means I'm learning and getting better, than so be it. I want to get better, I want to grow. Obviously "requested sigs" is an overused excuse in this thread and I will remove the temptation to use this excuse.

I wasn't saying you were a bad signature maker sugarpoultry- I'm actually really fond of some of your works. x_x

I'm just reminding everyone to be creative, and spontaneous, is all. :3

Alright, I don't want to get involved if this is going to turn into some little Yamari-like debate, but I agree with both of you on some points. Sometimes I don't go strictly by the requester's standards either, for example if someone were to ask me to make an orange sig and gave me a Sonic render to use, I'd probably use more colors to blend Sonic in better because he doesn't have a speck of orange on him. I've done that with a number of requests and the requesters like the results just fine.

Yet, I also agree that you sometimes have to step out of your bounds and do something beyond what you've done so far. You both make good points, and I just thought I'd add my two cents.

I know you weren't.

I know everybody who is in this thread are here to build each other up, learn from each other and get better. I honestly wouldn't be getting better or learning without this thread. It has helped out a lot.

On an even happier note: YAY I GOT PHOTOSHOP CS3 TODAY!!!! I love being married to a Computer Science major, sometimes, they get their hands on free stuff.

Honestly, I don't think that looks anything like what I'd make. By the first glance I can tell that's a Pani-sig, she has her own style put into it. That's why I like it so much. :]

Also, when using a certain tut for the first time; to pick up things people have explained in it, you pretty much need to do exactly what they tell you. I'm sure she'll use the things I 'taught' in my tut differently, it's just how results appear pretty much. It's from a tut, what do you expect. ;]

That sig would look better, HS if the picture was removed and the background was the main focus.

Eh? I don't really understand that criticism, but I actually really like it. I would agree that the picture is a little too faded, and I think this is one where a tad of contrast-- rather than blending-- would better fit the piece... all in all, though, I kind of like it.

Seeing as how I didnt get a seocnd crit, you could just dlete the post, wait until the second crit is up, and post it when you're supposed to.

Just pointing out, so that there isnt any confusion, one more crit is still needed.

I like the colors and the lighting, and definitely the text. There's a little strip of something coming up from the lower part of the guy's left arm that I think you could do without. Great job.
