• Post in my thread for a sig request. I prefer thread posts over PMs. It helps me keep track better.

• Be detailed THE FIRST TIME. Make it short and to the point. If you use the order form then you won't have a problem. You only get 1 request to fix, so make it count!

• One sig request per person, please. Wait at least a month before requesting another. Requesting for matching avatar's are ok.

• You must provide pictures/renders. Use image links, don't post with image tags please.

• One render/image per sig. That means only one character/stock per sig. Posting a background image is ok.

• I do not make animations.

• Please... give me credit for my work!

• Please be patient. I have a life outside of my computer. My time is limited these days. College has me quite busy, as you might expect.

• DO NOT bother me about the progress of your request. You do this, you will get no request. I will give you a first warning, if you fail to comply with it, game over. No exceptions! This is also permanent for the requester. You do not decide my time to do sigs, I do.

• Do not spam in my thread.

ok, i need some help...i entered a contest to make a sig...the prize is to be the first on in belgium to play "Assassins creed", now i have absolutely no idea how to create a sig but i want to win the prize sooooooooooo bad!!!

The sig has to be about the gamesdeveloper "Ubisoft"

Can you show me how to make a sig or could you make me one?

If it's a contest, having SP make you one wouldn't be a good thing to do. It would be cheating, actually. Go find tutorials, get a good program (such as GIMP or PhotoShop), or yeah, ask someone to teach you. But don't cheat. Ever.

Only cheaters cheat.

i know but still, i can't possebly master photoshop in 2 weeks...i have my own restaurant and i don't have that much time, and its the best prize ever!!!!!

Tacheon Black is right, I won't make one for you. I'm a full time college senior, and I really don't have time either. You can look at my examples and see if you can make some like those. Plus, I hope you didn't just ask me, I don't want to be responsible for you not getting the prize. Plus if you did win with my sig, that would mean I deserve the prize... I don't want it, you do.

Ed here in ZU is a really good sig maker (far better than myself). Ask him if he can give you some tips. If he has a sig shop, check it out, look at his designs.

If you absolutely cannot find help, come back here and I can try to help.

Just for the record as well, it's still not determined whether or not Ed is actually a guy.

But yeah, check him out, OR look in the tut's section of this site...

Why do you care if its cheating or not?the others are pro's at photoshop and i am a beginner...David didn't beat Goliath with his bare hands did he?No he had a stone to help him, and i was hoping you guys could be the stone that i needed to beat the others...Guess not...

Following your analogy, the stone would be Photoshop, and we would be the atomic bomb send to take Goliath out even though fifty other kids are trying to take him down with rocks too.

Haha! Well if you're going to dig that deep, you are a person that believes in David and Goliath, so I am assuming you believe in God too. Why don't you recite the commandments for us?

ok so help me then...

I really shouldn't help you for being so disrespectful, but since you seem to be disparate, I'll share a few tips.

The way I get my sigs to look good is blending and layers. Find the picture you want or what is required in the contest and put it in its own layer.

I find most of my cool backgrounds etc from this site: Stock Photos | Shutterstock: Royalty-Free Subscription Stock Photos
Browse that site, view by catagory or whatever. (The pictures have a logo on it, but you can just clip from the corners or photoshop it out.)
If you have one, use a digital drawing pad. It makes editing your picture easier.

So, find the background you want and put it in its own layer in front of the picture you chose first. Then you go to the layer with your new background (right hand corner), right click the layer, and go to blending properties.

Once you are there, play around. Check out! Fool around with the Blend modes, channels, opacity, and the styles (left). Play around until it looks cool.

I'll share a few examples of the things you can do with these blendings with this sig here.




And all that is from randomly going around and playing with different options in the blending properties.

Now, if you want to do something cool, with edges, like making borders that look rigid and weird looking, go to your very first layer, make sure its blank, and delete it.
Then take an eraser, preferably one of the cool speckled kinds, and start erasing parts of the edges in a random matter. Then all the other top layers, go to blending properties, and click drop shadow. That will give the sig a 3D-coming-off-the-pagelook, like so:


When you are done, save as a PNG. That is the only way you can get the shadow to stay etc. Also, the first 4 I gave a 3D glossy orb look to it, all you need to do is take white, turn down the opacity, and go over the top of the sig. Do the same with black for the bottom. You can do it in waves or straight.

That is what I do to my sigs. Like I said, blending and layering is the way to go. Hope this gives you a few ideas to play around with. ^_^ That is how I started out, I just experimented and it only took me a few tries before I figured out what I wanted to do.

ok i got 1 picture as my background but i cant open a new on cuz i cant make them blend together....

so first, open file, take a picture,
then open another pic and try to make em blend?

i just dont get it...if i open 2 pics they cant be blended with eachother.....they act individually...

Copy the second picture, cropped or however you want it, (Control+A to select all) and paste it onto your original picture (background).

So, your picture will be on top of your background. It will have both set as separate layers (1 and 2). Then you can go in blending properties for each layer and play around with either of them.

Also, you can create a new layer (Control+Shift+N) and fill in a pattern to put on top of both of those layers and use blending to play around with that. (Click the little paint can and then at the top it says "Fill" and a little menu beside it, click that and switch it to pattern, and you can pick a pattern it will show you right next to it. (If there aren't any good patterns shown, click the little arrow on the side to show you more styles.)

Well, you can resize it in photoshop, or go download irfanview. Its free and its way easy to resize: Control+R
Um, your background could use something wild, and you don't have to stretch the people to fit the sig, you can keep them the way they are, make them smaller. It needs more color. Like I said, fill in a pattern in a new layer and play around with the effects. Go copy a picture of some lightning and paste it in there.

You know, I would have totally made you this sig if you hadn't told me what it was for. If you didn't mentioned you were putting it in a contest or cheating, I wouldn't have known and I'd be making you one right now...

Thats my way of not cheating....telling you i'm going to use it for a contest..i was beeing honest...

Just keep playing around with it. That is how you do it. Its not done until you like it. Try filling in patterns and stuff.
