I'll maybe give an outcome later, but I really don't feel like PSing anymore. Plus, I have PS7 and the spatter isn't an option in smudging in seven.

Yes I made that tag. And I did this using PS7. I said splatter, not scatter. Lol.

I took the chalk brush, messed with settings, and smudged it around. But when you say smudge, do you mean the actual smudge tool? Because when I smudged the gradient, I didn't can an effect at all like yours.

Yes the smudge tool. You can go to my 'Metaknight Tut' and look at the settings I used.

As I said on your Metaknight tutorial, good tutorial, but I think it would be easier to follow if you included an image for every step, rather than doing it in large chunks.

Although that is time consuming. :/

I try to get as much detail in each step because I do it in about chunks of 3-5 steps. And that kinda was time consuming to make that so I really don't feel like spending all the time on it.

Where is the chalk brush...? o_o
Sorry, I'm still trying to find my way around PS7.

If you hover over brushes it will tell you what it is. You also probably haven't loaded the preset brushes, have you?

Gave me some ideas.
I changed it a little, and added some steps at the end, but it was mostly just following the tut.
