Signature/Small Work Showcase

I made myself a new sig and avy set. I think this is the best set I've made yet. I finally figured out a way to add effects to text. MS's word art. I don't know why I didn't think of that before, lol. But what do you think?

EDIT: You know, perhaps I should've left out the text in the avy...

It looks nice, but you should try photoshop.

I tried downloading a trial version of Photoshop, but I had problems with it. So I can't use Photoshop unless I turn to the V. 5.0 that I have. And GIMP 2, which I currently use, is probably better.

Oh, and I redid the avy without text this time. I think it looks better this way.

If the flowers had been blended it would have been better, and you could have done something different with the text. Also, I think you might be better off with PS5. That's two comments for that sig.

Check my av out. I specifically made it as an av, so I didn't have that much space. I believe it turned out nice.

I dunno, Photoshop 5.0 doesn't look any better. But I'll try it and see what I make. Also, Photoshop looks a bit complicated. o.o

Photoshop is actually a great deal more user friendly than GIMP.

But when someone is used to another progam then they probably like it more than the other, even if it's easier than the first.

Not if it's a very old version like mine. Something like Photoshop CS2 would be better yes, but I have no way of getting it. I could get it online, but I doubt my parents will let me, since it's so expensive. >.>

And I'm pretty much used to GIMP 2. Besides, I changed my mind about trying my version of Photoshop and to look into getting a program my school uses called Macromedia Fireworks. I used it and it's pretty cool.

Fireworks is also very expensive.

I suggest downloading a free trial from the Adobe website.

I already said I tried downloading a free trial of Photoshop CS2. It gave me problems. And I didn't mean I was going to buy Macromedia Fireworks. There might be a trial version of that too.

I did mean downloading a trial of both, seeing as Macromedia is now owned by Adobe - so you can find a download there.

Oh, okay. I didn't know that. I'll do that then.

It's something I call... simple. I dont know why, but the font is... eh. And I can only see an effect that looks like a spider web. But it's still very nice! ^^

I like it although I'm more of a colourful person so I would say *ADD MORE COLOUR!*

as you can see I only used brushes for te background and nothing else but what do you people think^^!

Umm......

Brushes? Only? You could have added at least a gradient, and have you heard of Filters? They add some more effects to your image, but try no to use to much filters. Also, the border has a double line on one side for some reason... Oh and, the cutting needs to be improved.

The image seems to be hastily cropped, the text is hard to read, and the image really doesn't fit the background.

Paul, you background is plain, but it seems to fit the text well enough.

It's alright. I mean, the background interferes too much with the character and picture stands out too much from the background. It just doesn't really blend in all that well.
