Avatar and Signatures made by me, etc

I'll keep doing this shiz, though my eyesight has deteriorated more than before (it's gene dysfunction-related, don't ask me for the explanation).

I made this since a few weeks ago (have to take long time intervals to preserve my vision) and coincidentally finished just in time for Signature of the Week #135: Free-Style entry.

Digitalwork. Decided to use back my Servimg account to avoid bandwith overload for my Photobucket album.

I almost forgotten, I made this too where it is a second edit though, because my first Shiny Ditto custom title banner looked like the ones that are official so I took that one off.

And also this banner for myself and anyone who uses Linux Mint (OS).

Well, these are easier than drawing realism on paper, imo.

Heyyyy~ Looked through your tags mainly (since im only good with avis and tags and avis are really simple )
maybe try and work on your blending and backgrounds. like you could use some gradient maps or textures and blend them in. and make sure your render blends as well. just so its more visually...smooth? if you know what i mean xP

First of all, you need to decide what your focus is. Because what i can see in your sig is:
- the hello kitty on the right
- the text
- the faded hello kitty
- the paws
In terms of placement, where your faded hello kitty is is where the render should be placed. But bc of the lighting (which i'll get to later) it isn't the focus.
The paws and other hello kitty are placed incorectly, and the text is...i'll get to that too

Next, background. The bokeh is good, but i'm not a fan of the blue to red map you have. That's just me though I'd also suggest softening the background by blending (textures, maps, yeah ), and then blending in the bokeh as well. I do love the blurry brush you used on top of the bokeh, it blends well~

Next is the render. In the case of all the non-background elements, it looks kinda pasted on right? it's alright if you go for a collage feel, but since you've got a bokeh background, i'd suggest blending it in. Because of the thick black outlines, that might be kinda hard so i'd suggest using a drop shadow and some brushes over it.

Now for text. I can see you've gone for a Hello Kitty-ish font but the glow settings you have, combined with the fact that it's quite hard to read, means that it feels extremely out of place. I don't like the warp either but that's just me as well Oh and as a word of advice, keep your text close to your focus, so that it isn't so distracting.

Finally, the lighting. The lighting over the render seems reall unnecesary. Remember that the point of the lighting is to complement the render, not take attention or completely fade the render out. I'm also not quite sure where the light is coming from.

Phew~all done~ That was long .______.

But I can tell you tried, it's waay better than your previous ones. Just follow the tips, and you'll get even better~
I'll suggest probably try redoing the tag? from experience if somebody gives you a cnc suggesting areas of improvement and you, as well as read it, follow it and redo the tag, it makes your work a lot better~

Thank you lilacfielder, redoing it would improve my skills further yes, but I could redo it shall I have the time (and the computer with the necessary software, of course). I'm looking forward to redo it, unfortunately not anytime soon since I don't have my own computer anymore (sold it away along with most of my other belongings).

Yes, I do love animations very much (especially when I was able to make them). And yes, that's what it says, Hinas.. glad you understand and thank you for the complements.

I have been looking through your signatures and you should keep going - you have a talent!

If you had the time, would you be able to make me one please? I love Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, and was maybe thinking of something Midna-related, but I am open to any suggestions you have.

I am not very good with quotes, so again I am pretty open minded, though I do like Midna's quote: 'No matter what, a fake is a fake, and no matter how much you try to dress it up, the real thing always wins!'
