Nice to see updates on this board which has been pretty dead as of late. I usually forget about this board, to be honest. It's like all the GD people now talk on the SotW thread and then make sigs only for it.

So I was thinking of opening another shop with ready-to-wear sigs like I did last time, but I'd like to see someone else do it. Like, come up with a collection of sigs and encourage everyone to pick one and wear it for some time.
It's a hell of a lot easier than taking requests, and it's a better way to support a sig maker and all that.

Yeah, this place has been deeaaaad. Sucks balls.

I like that idea, IGNIS, and I wouldn't mind giving it a go alongside you if you tried it.

Also, I've had talks with G-Spot about things we can do to get more activity going, but it reeaaally comes down to participation, huh. Like the whole TEAMS for sig of the week and such, and even one-on-one gfx battles. But getting interest seems to spike at the start, and decreases pretty fast. If my years about these parts has anything to say, it's that when it comes to new activity. Thing is people are here to make gfx stuff for fun, not hardcore graphics artists or whatever, so people flit in and out every now and then. I'd love to spark up more competitions or something, but ya, bit of a prab thar.

I've already done it. It was this thread called "pret-a-porter." One GD person should do it a time, IMO.

loooooooooollll. Sounds really good you guys, I know that was a joke (^^^^^) but it would be cool to have some pick-up store where the theme changes from week to week. Whoever the store's name is under would post a new sig for the taking perhaps every day or every other day (since they're premade), although they'd have to be made in advance. Or during the week for you PUSH IT TO THE EDGEEE ers.

Of course if we only had two people like literally right now, we'd have to have the shop closed for a week (not locked, just OPEN ON XX/XX/11), since it'd be pretty intensive to have people nonstop making sigs. Plus, what would they be about? Would they have no text or what?

Here's what's left of that shop I opened:

Apparently, I gave out 7 premade sigs, and one of the sigs that was still listed is not even wearable lol.
But, yeah-- I pretty much listed variations of sigs I submitted to the sotw or just offered new and old signatures to pick and wear. The thread didn't last long either since I didn't update it frequently, and the list wasn't really consistent with any theme. I can see this working if different people open one up like every other week.

Sounds cool.

I don't understand why the graphics section is dead. Hey, it's a lot better than some graphics sections I've seen on forums.

i can't really speak for everyone else, but i've just got other things going on. graphicing (or whatever) is more of a hobby than anything else. i do some when i'm bored or feel inspired and want to try something out.

Fair enough. While I'm out of school because I finished, and jobless and stuff, I've got really nothing better to do. It's good practice too I guess.

Guys, I may want to make a note of this on the OP later, but you guys are welcome to post anything you've been doing or just come up with here and seek feedback. I think this would be the thread for it.

I remember back in the day we had a critique and showcase thread. Would love if we could bring that back, in some way (this thread! multi-purpose!) because it was hella helpful.

^Yeah, I was forgetting what that thread was called. I know it was sort of neglected for a while when people left sigs for feedback and never got any. Now I've been noticing people seeking sig feedback on VM, so I thought this thread would just work great for people to do that. Don't be ashamed, guys.
