Photoshop Question/Help

I have a question; I installed Photoshop Elements 6.0 and I just need to know one thing. How do I fade pictures? Please give me some tips.

What do mean by fade? Do you want to lower the opacity?

Uhh, if you mean fade as in have an image turning less opaque in a certain direction, then you need to make a mask of it and do a blur in the direction you want it in. If you mean just making the whole thing less opaque, the opacity slider should do the trick.

if you could post an example of what effect you want to achieve, that may be easier to help with.

I didn't made this one, but this is a good example.
